Decided on a 991.2 as soon as I knew the rumors/spy shots showed more touch screens for the 992 ... such a bad HMI idea for a “sports car” .... the 991.2 will be closer to automatic movement while 992 will be closer to a precise quartz one.

i think the 991.2 will be sought after since it’s modern without going over to the iPad world for key function.

from this article , “It would have been nice to keep the kerb weight where it was, but at the end of the day all those mod cons and the beefier footwear added 20kg to the tally.” ... so roughly 45 pounds to the regular 911.

"Then there’s the new, fancier three-part pop-up rear spoiler – thanks, Panamera."

All the pics looks one part. Maybe wishful thinking.

I saw that last night when doing my regular 992 Google search. This must have been a mistake as the latest mules do not have this feature nor does the rear deck look accommodating to such a feature. We will know in two weeks - Nov 27!

I'll let this thread go a little while longer but I am inclined to send it to the dumpster as meaningless noise and a deliberate attempt to create controversy and dissension.- in other words a troll thread.

Regards.
Thank you. Thats all I was getting at.

Given how wrong the statement about the spoiler, why believe any of the rest of what is in this "review"? Or repeat it?

The review was written by Georg Kacher, who I would consider a pretty reliable journalist.

The spoiler is mentioned as a 3 part pop up so maybe thats to be interpreted as 3 different positions based on driving. For example, maybe under heavy breaking it’s at its highest point like an air brake, highway it’s at its lowest for high speed stability and then there an in between for more spirited driving. Not sure, but just guessing. Some of the spy shots show it pretty high at points. Also, I’m not sure how the Panamera spoilers all work. I’ve seen the turbo one, but they all aren’t like that. I also don’t know about the 991 spoiler, did it have multiple positions or was it just up and down depending on speed? My GT3 just had one position 😉

i'll know it and it'll make all the difference...

keep in mind the pista is touted as 90 kg lighter with the right options so yeah 45 pounds is not just lint.

My 991.2 has three positions. Down, up and then really up with the sunroof open. Here is a video of the Panamera Turbo spoiler deployment. You be the judge if this is on the 992.

I don't think so looking at this pic:
