One thing that really bothers me is replacing real buttons with a screen using tactice feedback. Why not just keep the buttons? Is it really worth having them disappear when the car is off and having fingerprints everywhere? They do this in some of the new Audi cars and it really bothers me.
I can see others have complained about the giant cupholder in the center. Why didn't they keep the one in the current 911? I absolutely love it and think it's the best cupholder I've ever used in a car... functional and hides away when not in use. It's quite the party trick!

it is interesting that the 992 has gotten new people on board w/ the 911 who were not previously, evidently due to all the aspects that most previous/current owners have doubts about or outright dislike. The baton may have passed to a new and different generation. Porsche the all knowing!

STG thank you for those awesome list of 992 Design blunders. You and other connected folks in here should have a talk with the designer and the person who signed off on the design approval (lol CEO)....

STG you are on a roll... love this thread
Can't really contribute anything anymore other than my opinion hasn't changed that there are a handful of seemingly careless design blunders and missteps that really take away from the car IMO which is a bummer, it's just a confusing 911 for me personally
Heavier, more tech, more digital, more creature comforts, obviously way more Panamera-like, but trying to throw in some GT stuff too like CF roof/CF steering trim/bigger 991.2 GT3 style wing. So an all in one Carrera/Turbo/GT car/Panamera...
Waiting until we end up with a Porsche 911 Targa 4GTSRS e-Hybrid Weissach edition

To all the people who dislike the new 992 I have enjoyed reading many of your post in the last month. Like many people I don’t always agree with what is being said in this Thread but that is what makes reading these interesting. While I do like the new 992 there will always be some issues one does not like. I think the 991 for it’s time was a great Car but many people on this forum 7 years ago hated the Car. I came very close to buying one before deciding to buy the 992. I’m curious, for all the people who do not like the 992, what is going to be the next Car under $150k for these individuals? I’m not aware of another new Car in that price range that offers 80% of a Porsche. Certainly not a BMW 8 series or a Mercedes SL.

Don't take it personally, just some would like to see the 911 stay more enthusiast focused. It's competing more and more with the other touring competitors.
There are a lot of .2 GT3's out there. They ramped up production for these and prices getting more attractive by the month. For those wanting a sports car as an additional and not primary car, the GT3 is the thrill of a lifetime.
I understand, won't appeal to everyone but my choice. The Carrera keeps veering off in a direction I'm not happy with.

I will evalaute the next GT model to see if it ticks a box for me, and if not I will be keeping my 2019 RS for a long time. I love the analog gauges in the 991, and love change, but not a fan of this one too Panamera influence. No doubt it will be a great car performance wise. I love the new green, but I need to see in person and for now it’s no way.

Yup. Of course you'll still see some depreciation on the GT's, but nothing like the shock that will come to many 992 owners. A $150K-$160K Carrera S will be a $100K trade in after 12 months (assuming you're not over 5K miles). Porsche is being too aggressive with new prices and resale prices aren't following.
If stock market performance is shaky, it will weed out 60% of the hot shots on here.
The run up we've had is coming to an end. Once China gets hit harder, good luck Porsche.
Luxury goods are the first to go.

Tons of used GT3’s on the market 150k add another 10k you can grab one. Not a car salesman, but look you will find. You can clearly buy a 2018 GT3 used at MSRP you know that right? New of course not, but possible. My point here I would prefer a GT3 at 150k plus vs a loaded 992, and that’s just me.
