So 992.2 ADMs are lowering while their MSRP is increasing; imagine that. This is a good thing for more money to PAG rather than dealers. I still think dealers will hold out and simply hold GT cars before selling them at MSRP (true MSRP meaning no trade in, no watch purchase, no maintenance, $5k tint, etc etc etc)

This is a great example of a chart that doesn't mean anything without knowing what the data behind it is.

Just a casual glance at this chart reveals that your data is incomplete.

For example, at no point in 2018, when the 991.2 GT3 was introduced, was the average ADMat $0. Why? That would mean that there were dealers (and buyers) getting the 991.2 GT3 at below MSRP. Which is nonsense.

Likewise, for your 2026 data, how many cars are we talking about? We are barely 19 days (as of the date of this post) into the 2026 calendar year. 1 car? 2 cars? Hardly enough to extrapolate any kind of trend.

But you do you.

Everyone realises the idea behind large MRSP increases is to eliminate ADMs right.... Porsche AG saying my pocket not yours etc etc

and in CA, buying 10 car a year $200k in service dept will not make you top 1o by any stretch of imagination.
but allocation are there, just not as easy as ppl think

I welcome anyone to scroll back these pages when the 992.1 GT3 was first introduced way back in early 2021. ADMs were immediately slapped on those cars. What did the wise soothsayers on Rennlist say back then? Same sort of things they are saying now (i.e., ADMs will come down and disappear, just wait a few months .... don't pay the ADM, the market will correct, it's just all hype ...")

Check your calendars. We are now almost 5 years from when the 992.1 GT3 was first released.

And where are we on ADMs?

I'll wait.
hahahah, we are old moldy figs, I am for sure. let them learn.
I stopped running numbers, regressions, etc etc, if I like it and bank aint empty yet, food stamps are coming still, I buy

if anything, trakcar deserves a 4.2 with Stephen. I think the two idiots put 30k miles during euro delivery?

I heard it, monster yes
but most buyer don't drive, they dry hump watching the cars. lets take count how many 992GT3RS owner has more than 15k miles on the clock now?

First one just got a bad day allocation - Thursday and end of year - over that weekend I watched multiple GT3, GT4RS and RS Spyder's move off dealer lots (from Porsche inventory). So I think that car, that had good specs is not the norm.

Second one is probably a good reflection of market for 2022 with 6-ways and seller probably made a mistake not selling it or had unrealistic expectations.

Is market crashing - no - are we going through the normal fall/winter pull back - yes - will prices spring back to $60k - $80k over, like the end of summer 2025 - maybe, maybe not - will ADM's on .1's be going away - not unless .2's are selling at or below MSRP. For now market remains stable to strong!
good to see you here John!
you are right, price is not insane anymore but still crazy.
luckily dealers still send msrp things my way, hope you are well.
miss the track days.

If it lost 30k of value, I won't lose 30k because
1. If I never sell, I'm not harmed, I just pay less on insurance, and between normal insurance and track day insurance that would be more than 1k per year. Also, there would be more people tracking to chase around at the track and better parts availability. All good things.
2. If I ever do sell, I'd buy another GT car and they roughly travel together in value ("normal" winged ones roughly do, not ST, etc.). I'd pay less tax on the transaction and the lowering of my value would wash out with the lowering of the value of the replacement car. People who are interested in long term ownership and are interested in actually driving the car want them to be cheaper.

I can guarantee you that my car was more of a stretch for me than 99% of the people on this board, but I'd still rather have the better Porsche community that would result from having these things not be investments to anyone, than have the 30K. It's crazy to me to think that people who can ACTUALLY reasonably afford these things, care about 30K. Well, they say they don't care about 30K when paying ADM to buy, life is short, blah blah blah. Then once they own they say you're crazy for saying you don't care if the car loses value. Go figure.
my freind, you regression analysis of hard asset floating with inflation, love it. We BEARS know ;-)
yes life is short, enjoy.
and I know you do, not many drive in pouring rain for an hour or so to my place for PPF. ha.. love it.
need to hit you up when I drive up for jimmy beans on Gilman. the corn hash is worth the 60 min drive for me.

Lol, what. You think Porsche centers are buying cars AT MSRP? That is not true at all. They get their wholesale discount that gets them cars below MSRP. I'm not sure what the discount is, but selling at MSRP just means they make their normal margin. It is not nonsense, it is actually the sense.

I'm usually at the front of the list for GT cars and have been buying them for years at MSRP and selling my cars back to my dealer. Told them a year ago that I wanted a GT3 Touring this time but told them I wanted to keep the Spyder RS (that I traded my 992.1 GT3 for). He asked me to wait because he had several guys that are willing to pay over MSRP. He just told me last week that he still have people lining up to pay $50k ADM, so he told me I wouldn't get mine until the very end of the run. I'm OK waiting, but it's insane how many people are willing to pay ADMs. Stock market at an all time high I'm sure helps this.

I just posted in another thread, but basically GT3s are Veblen Goods now. Historical prices prove this. At some point of course it's unsustainable, as it is with any good.

A guy I know in LA was negotiating ADM down from $100K on a GT3 Touring currently on the boat. Think he said he was shooting for $50K.

CA is in a different league. People agreeing to live in CA and put up with its bull**** across the board have no excuse to complain about ADM.

Yep, told him that he's going to need to look out of state.

my experience
- November US delivery of .2 Gt3 touring - exclusive interior / options - purchased at MSRP
- January European purchase .2 Gt3 touring (being used in Europe) - basic spec - purchased 3% below MSRP

Both cars purchased from very large Porsche centers...

The market in Europe for these car's is quite different at the moment... there are probably 100+ inventory Gt3's across European Porsche centers...

I wholeheartedly agree, if it comes to be in existence, Stephen will find the way and put it through some front page driving
