Default Adding To The Stable - 296GTB or Revuelto

I am a current 992 GT3 owner, looking to add an additional car to my stable. The reason, I am reaching out on Rennlist is to get some unbias thoughts. Right now, I have an allocation for 296GTB or a Revuelto, just need to decide which one. If you already have a 992 GT3 which car would you go with? Why?

- I don't have a SF90 here, because I don't have an allocation for one.
-296 V6, Twin Turbo, Hybird
-Revuelto V12, NA, Hybird

It was a toss up between 296gts and sf90 for me, I wanted the cilindiri but was offered those two instead. I went with the 296 because I thought it looked better.

As someone who's owned all the brands and cross-shopped those cars myself, I'd say the answer is largely "it depends".

Revuelto is much more money ($600k + options) and just at the start of its lifecylcle. The GTB is at least $200k less is on the tail-end and will likely be replaced in 2-3 years.

Do you want a big, showy, flashy Lamborghini or a somewhat understated Ferrari? Do you want a V12 but a big, heavy, boat of a car or a smaller V6 that punches way above its weight class? The road presence of the Revuelto is substantial compared to the 296 which is a pro or con depending on what you want. The choice could be as simple as "are you a Ferrari guy or a Lamborghini guy".

Not that you asked, but I would take a 750s over either of them.

Do you like the 296? Do you enjoy it more than your GT3?

I also have a 458, having a hard time moving from N/A to the new age stuff...

Neither, I’d do the Huracan replacement. Twin turbo V8 that revs to 10,000RPM and makes over 800 horsepower is a great time.

I get what your saying. I currently have a Porsche GT3, Lambo Huracan, Ferrari 458.

I have a hard time continuing down the path of Ferrari, as I like the pure N/A engines. So I am thinking puting my $$ into Porsche and Lamborghini, as Revuelto is V12 NA Hybird. Then when I want to run under the radar, drive the GT3 Touring. For some reason, I can't let go of the 458, just looks of it makes me, well...

My opinion, I think the SF90 and 296 are terrible. I would definitely do the Revuelto.

Instead of both of those cars, I would find a very clean F8.

750S > both

If I had to choose I'd go Revuelto for the V12 and I do not like Lambos at all. The 296 just looks bleh

If you have a $600k budget for another car and are chasing the good ol NA stuff. Why not a 997 4.0? I'd go that route 10x before either of the choices presented

Going retro, all this perfect high powered electronic hybrid stuff is not doing it anymore...
They still all get beaten by a good model S plaid esp. with the ceramic brakes, which is why I got rid of my plaid and decided to go back to more emotion, more retro, less electric fakery

Drive the 296 before you decide.

I drove a 296 at the track. Fast in the straights, felt big, didn’t like the weight on the turns. But maybe it’s just I’m not used to it. Had an allocation and canceled it. It’s a nice car, just not something I’d personally enjoy for the money.

I second this. I went from "that's an OK looking car" to "OMG I need one" in a single test drive. Placed my deposit that day and spec'd my car shortly thereafter.

Since we're opening the floodgates: Go drive a 765LT. I would argue it is the greatest driver's car under $1M especially if you can stomach the price of a Spyder (roof or back window down, oh the glorious sounds). Coupes are now in low $400s (your 296 budget) and Spiders are very spec dependent it seems but hovering around $500s.

If Ferrari's are more your thing, I would seriously consider a Pista as the price sits between the 296 and Revuelto currently.

Since the 458 is a "keeper" I don't think you need another NA car. Go modern, lightweight turbo...the hybrids will always be there and will get better and better over the next few years.
