Looks wise, I think the 296 is the best looking Ferrari in many years. There is something about the proportions that are just right and the old school throwback design elements are nicely done.
My neighbor just got back from COTA and Lambo hosted event for the Revelto order holders. He said he was on the fence at first amd the track experience sealed the deal. He's getting rid of his Aventador and was told by Lamob US rep to expect his car around sept.
Never driven the Revuelto, but as the spiritual and actual successor to the Aventador, which to me has always been more of a Cars & Coffee car than a true driver's car, it seems like it's going to more of a "look at me" car than anything else. There's nothing wrong with that if that's what one wants.
If you're going to go the Mclaren route, just know that they all have a good amount of turbo lag and our basically a bit empty down low (i.e., less than 5k rpm). But on track, and spooled up all the time, it really doesn't matter. But just tooling around town, it's noticeable. The 750S that I test drove was better than the 720S, but it's still noticeable, especially compared to something like the 296. Still great cars though. Sublime chassis and steering.
No real bad choices here. Just depends what you want out of a car.
You're a very lucky man to have such great choices. Enjoy the process.

To each his own, I hate the looks of this car, especially the rear and that exhaust and the headlights. And the touch buttons in the steering wheel and the screen that has an xbox 360 GPU in it. And ferrari wants money from us to buy, it should be the other way around lol.
430, 458, F12, and even 812 are so beautiful. The older cars had design elements that had purpose. Never cars have curves and shapes because they had to make them look different. Confusing.
Mclaren also has lots and lots of shapes and curves but they all look purposeful.
Ferrari, stop making the SF90. A month ago, I was offered an SF90-Spider allocation with a delivery one year from now. I was told the allocation would be the last for the store since production was ending. If I had any interest, I would put down $10,000 and order the car. The $10,000 is fully refundable. I was tempted but declined.
Since we're opening the floodgates: Go drive a 765LT. I would argue it is the greatest driver's car under $1M especially if you can stomach the price of a Spyder (roof or back window down, oh the glorious sounds). Coupes are now in low $400s (your 296 budget) and Spiders are very spec dependent it seems but hovering around $500s.
If Ferrari's are more your thing, I would seriously consider a Pista as the price sits between the 296 and Revuelto currently.
Since the 458 is a "keeper" I don't think you need another NA car. Go modern, lightweight turbo...the hybrids will always be there and will get better and better over the next few years.
what he said. 765 is better than both those cars, by far.

I think once the cool new factor of the 765LT fell off the guys that have them bailed and those same guys are not the types to actually push them. It's an amazing machine no doubt.
The responses here are illustrative of the fact that this entire exercise is subjective when you get to this level of price point and performance. Here is my example:
I "think" a 296 is way better than a 765LT / Revuelto / 458 / F8 / SF90 / 997 4.0...and many others.
I have had almost every gen GT3 and most recently 991.2 GT3RS. All of them tracked frequently.
Decided to go the Ferrari route 3 years ago with a an ordered F8. Loved it in every way.
Was intrigued by the 296 GTB and was given an early build that arrived Sept '23. I never fully connected with the car, even though I had a special delivery experience with Charles LeClerc present to sign the car for me.
I just sold it back to the dealer a week ago--they hardly had interest in it! They are coming back in increasing numbers...
I just don't miss it. Try a nearly-new F8 or Pista is my recommendation.

if you say so. I keep buying cars but @ScratchTheItch is right. Best 6 figures I’ve found yet.
