Congrats! I want to order that same spec except with the cream seats, but I just can't justify it with my driving schedule now. It's really an incredible value now for what it's good for which is a smooth, comfortable, quiet, daily driver missile. I have a new, nice work truck that was given to me and other toys on the evening/weekend, so just can't make a business case now, but someday hopefully!

Glad the delivery and initial experience has been good. I've heard the stereo is very good too. I have a few car friends in Texas who daily a Plaid and then have the ICE sports cars for the weekend and track fun. Seems like an awesome combo!

Let me know if you ever sell this or the Z06.

The first good news was that I somehow managed to avoid all the reported quality control issues at delivery. Panel gaps are normal, paint is with zero defects (in fact the best I've seen on a new car in over a decade), no loose trim, no rattles, basically zero drama. Drove it home 220 miles from the dealership and it was great.

This is my first electric car of any kind so I didn't really know what to expect, but so far I like it a lot ... it's actually nice to have a little quiet as I go about my day and my brain is still trying to wrap itself around the ridiculous performance. I've also been pleasantly surprised with the handling which I expected to mirror that of a Maxima, but it does in fact complement the performance of the car. It feels as planted as an M or AMG sedan. I thought I would struggle with a new tech language but it's pretty intuitive, so no issues there. I did subscribe to the FSD but haven't played around with it yet. I'll probably unsubscribe from it at some point because I'm just puttering around in a suburban environment so I've been using the car just like any other ... as in I know where I'm going and like driving myself there.

So yeah pretty smooth and uneventful transition into an electric car. I wouldn't want it if it were my only car but with the other NA stuff in the garage I am perfectly happy to use this as a daily.

And I'm very fond of the color and depth of the paint. Close to Carmine Red and something Ferrari would change $35k for. It does need tint which will happen soon.
Nice, I've actually been considering this exact spec. Good call on wheel vs. yoke. Currently daily a Model 3 Performance. How have you found the road/wind noise in the Plaid?

I honestly drive them all. It evens out the miles and the enjoyment! I have a 24' Raptor R joining the group in a few months so even driving these on a constant rotation still keeps the miles relatively low.

You and I have the exact same philosophy.... everything is a daily. And honestly likely an attributed factor why your dealer gives you desirable cars, because you drive them.

I have a ten year old VW SEL Passatt with 135K that does the job. Been a great almost repair free ride for a long time.
I would like to drive the Targa all the time, but the NOLA street department leaves a lot to be desired. Major pot hole deteriorate for years in some places. Typical NOLA, making the best of the unsightly nuisance in the neighborhood.

I've had this since February. Plenty of power, the ride is plush. Great for road trips, loading up my dirt bike etc.

The power to weight ratio for the R was a step in the right direction compared to prior Gen. The original Supercharged V8 in the Gen 1 was always the bees knees. Plus now that Stelantis has castrated the TRX the R will be big dog in the lineup.

Agree with those who have an EV as a daily plus a fun porsche for the weekend. My combo is a Tesla model 3 performance and a 991.2 GT3.
The Tesla is really fast and gives me carpool lane access. Adaptive cruise very useful in commuting traffic, minimal cost for fuel and maintenance……but most importantly you get even more of a contrast when you take out your GT car on the weekend or summer evening, and driving your GT car feels even more special!

I had a 2017 Raptor with the 3.5. It was quick enough but just sounded like dog doody. Traded that one for 2019 Power Wagon mainly for the V8. I've got to have a truck and now that I have this one I'm not sure how Ford is going to top it. The power is insane for such a big vehicle.

How are the brakes? My TRX is almost 1200hp to the crank now and even under factory power brakes were $hit. It's so damn heavy at 6800lbs.

They're at least adequate compared to my 2017 brakes. They must have upgraded them as I have no complaints. I'm not grenading the brakes all the time though.

That's a positive. @soulsea may remember better, but there was a TRX forum guy that was insane and notorious for pushing his TRX past the limits on just driving and he met his maker eventually.
