My DD. 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 with the 3.0 Ecodiesel. Stitched soft nappa leather everywhere and a 33 gallon fuel tank. Air ride and silent on the highway. You can just kill miles in this baby ! Pulls my G23 or anything else less than 11k lbs pretty good. Also can get 30 mpg unhooked and close to 1000 miles of range if you are nice to it. I have 62k miles on it and not a single complaint.

Yeah for Elon its not even about the money. The money funds his hobbies and interests which in return make him more money. The Tesla Price slashes as of recent reflect such in addition to the investment into the Boring Company which is going nowhere and SpaceX being the real nugget of where his $ is going.
Having gone to Boca Chica, Tx where Space X is based amd the rockets are made you'll quickly see this isn't about a big corporate money grab. It's essentially a very well funded toy box that feeds his interests to make space ships and that just so happens to fill the void Obama created when he ever so ignorantly shutdown the space program and redirected Nasas focus to Muslim out reach programs...

X also has investors, namely all of the banks and clients of those banks who have backed Musk taking the company private.
It's not just Musk's money. - - - For some strange reason, you totally ignore these salient details.

You might want to ask his investors in Tesla, Twitter, and SpaceX how they feel about that.
The valuation of Twitter has collapsed from $44 Billion to $15 Billion in just 7 months and is even lower today given that advertisers are now fleeing.
I could be wrong, but I don't think his investors are laughing about that.

He appears to be on a parallel path with where Trump has ended up in polarizing society. Once media darlings so long as they stay in their lane. But once they start mouthing off thereby disrupting any given agenda that people in power want to control, the gloves comes off on both sides. He can say and do things that most others would be put out of business for doing. In that way I'd like to see him win his arguments as it's not a good thing to be controlled by companies, governments, media manipulating the populous etc. We live in very interesting times and hope we come out of it stronger as a country, but it sure doesn't feel like we're going that way right now.

The young lady working at a coffee shop asked yesterday if I swapped my M3 CS for the Plaid.
Me: 'Yes'
Her: "Sick!"
My nieces don't care about cars but they demanded a ride in the Tesla. Also several thumbs up from random teenagers. These are the future buyers and it made me realize that Tesla's ambition to be the largest carmaker in the world is likely to happen. Licensing their FSD technology and supercharging network as well as producing robotaxis and AI robots means they could also become the largest company in the world.

He's an interesting character. I don't know about all of the government subsidies, just the his companies have received them. He appears to have gamed the system in some way and parlayed it to his benefit but I'm naive to the details. No one can deny that the guy is brilliant. He does seem to out maneuver others by thinking ahead several steps from anyone else. We'll see how all of this plays out.

What arguments would you like to see him win?

I think the outmaneuvering occurred in the course of gaining $42 billion to blow on a subjectively worthy cause.
#144
So the arguments I like to see him win and as well as others win are debates typically revolving around controlling others.

I own currently, X5m Comp, X6m Comp, X7 M50i, and M8GC....
All serve different purposes, but as a crossover the X6M Comp is hard to beat.
