It's been 5 days, what has happened since?

 

grrr - car is confirmed in port - was scheduled for transport thursday Dec. 7th, but got pushed to Dec. 14th - and dealer says might move further

it's going to take 2-3 weeks to exit the port and make the one hour journey to local porsche dealers

I'm dissatisfied to say the least…local dealer insists there is nothing to be done to expidite the process.

sorry for hear that...but you'll be so pleased by the car that as soon as u drive it...you'll forget all this pain

The saga is finally at an end.. Congrats - a great holiday present.. Enjoy!

 

car delivered today - 100+ miles put on it driving it from San Jose to Santa Cruz - grip levels are amazing - front end turn in is magical - ride quality is acceptable but not "plush" by any stretch of the imagination.

Break-in miles are next - followed by track-prep - and then ultimately the first track day…

quite the journey!! I've enjoy'd sharing it with you all! I'll be doing Bay Area C&C's for anyone that wants to come out and say hello and see the car in person.

 

friends, lurkers, watchers, and those tired of this thread - I think I'm going to bring this story to a close - we're moving on from the quest to the ownership - but I still plan to share what I learn and experienc with my RS - and have started a new thread - this will be a "long view" thread where I'll shared the actual ownership experience for my RS

but wow - when I started this thread I had no ideas the twists and turns it would take - which is the joy of non-fiction real life - you don't know what tomorrow will bring - I had no idea what I was in for - and what a ride it was!!!

thank you again for all your support (public and private) - I super thrilled to have shared this with you all - and honestly it's been a blast - I'm not going away - just transitioning to an ownership log…but it's been super fun and I'm so happy now that I have the car - 3 days in it's a master piece from Porsche even by their standards - their GT cars are speicial - and we'll all very lucky to have these products as options…
