Probably will make money on the whole thing considering the views it will drive to his channel

If it’s 10k/1MM views, looks like he has already made 40K. Then add the Cars Vertical promotion.

He’s likely gonna reach 100K in promotion revenue on this series, easy.

i disagree with this take. most salvage cars are a mystery, but his channel is very high visibility. people call him out on shoddy work, if anything it brings it more credibility.

I've spent quite a bit of time with the car after the wreck helping Adam with the Porsche Certified collision shop it was at in Chattanooga, TN - ACI Collision. They do amazing work and they get the Barber and PEC cars that get smashed up so they know their stuff. I'm not gong to post details but I've been under the car on a lift and there is still more going on than what he's posted so far. Suffice it to say the estimate was well into the 6 figures for the repair and hence it was totaled.

Thank you for sharing, this is exactly my thought as well as I have seen a lot of cars that have been through this - specifically 911's/GT3 Cups. ACI does top notch work (and as you mentioned is a Porsche Certified Collision Center) and I can imagine what was written in the estimate would trust their judgement anyday on this one.

Maybe I’m reading too much into the last video, but I sensed they are going to replace the entire front section.

This car will likely not be a track star with the fixes, but it will probably get a lot of attention with the C&C folk, especially with the back story.

Personally, I’m glad Adam’s car will live on and not be a parts car.

I don’t see how he gets the entire front tub. Porsche won’t sell it to him. He needs a GT3 tub, a regular 992 tub won’t work due to the GT3 having double wishbone suspension. Even if he sources one, he does not have the skill to cut the damaged one out and put a new one in. Granted he may be able to finagle a deal where he gets it done at a reduced price and the shop thst does it gets free advertising on his channel, which is racking up the views. So let’s have fun and watch.

Why not a Motorsport front clip? They should be the same and probably easier to get.

A Porsche dealer will sell it to him. Also, an approved body shop can get one for him. It’s isn’t that hard.

He said in video 1, that Porsche NA will not sell him the structural parts.

Correct. The dealers and body shops are not PCNA.

Watch the video on his second channel. They discuss it and the guy that’s lending him the shop space said he could source what he needs.

Was at the dealership getting my axles replaced again. While there I asked if I could order the front structural parts for a GT3. The answer is yes. With a VIN you can order anything.

Yep. You may recall I discovered tears in my CV boots, and had both axles replaced under warranty last Nov.

This past weekend, we had a bunch of early morning fog that delayed the start of the sessions at the CHIN event at COTA. The ended up extending the happy hour to 2 hours on track for all cars. I was running out a set of R7s and ended up running about 1:30 of time.

On Sunday, after the Cup car flipped in front of my on the second hot lap, I could hear some clanking on pit road. It sounded like the noise you hear when driving over the rain grates.

On the next session, I could hear it on the out lap and immediately came in. Upon inspection, it appears the axles overheated and spurt out a bunch of the axle grease.

So dealer is rushing 2 new axles from Germany.

We are also working on adding the clubsport naca ducts to the floor pan to provide cooling for the axles.

How do you like the R7's vs the Hankooks?
