The R7s I have been running are 295 front and 345 rear. For me, they did way better than the Hankooks.
The car can handle 345s with some adjustments. I’ve worn through wiring harnesses on both sides.
I’m now running the Pirellis slicks.
I did try the Trofeo R. I hate them.

On the next session, I could hear it on the out lap and immediately came in. Upon inspection, it appears the axles overheated and spurt out a bunch of the axle grease.
So dealer is rushing 2 new axles from Germany.
We are also working on adding the clubsport naca ducts to the floor pan to provide cooling for the axles.

You cannot buy any structural parts if you are not a Porsche Collision Center - ie. the front tub section, shock tower, etc. This was recently overhauled and PMNA has notified accounts this as well on the PMNA side that the lists all of the approved centers (28 on the list around the country).

His content is fantastic... I discovered him about a year ago and have really enjoyed getting caught up on all his previous projects. I know people are going back and forth on whether this car will make money or lose money, and based off the fact that he gets over 1 Million views on every single video, there is no concern over making or losing money on this car... He does it to continue to learn the craft, teach others/help others understand the process and make really enjoyable/fun content along the way... The more "problems" he runs into, the more dramatic content he can make, drive more views, make more money...
The fact that this car has a clean title I think will help him in general just navigate the repairs, but again I don't think it will really make a difference on the resale side. Like most youtubers, people in the car world want to buy their cars just so they can say "I have Mat Armstrongs car" or "I have the stradmans car".... in fact, many new youtubers are starting their channels by going out and purchasing another youtubers car so they can begin their story with that and try to pick up on other groups of followers from those channels... It is a fascinating business.
I am really looking forward to seeing where this goes, and how he navigates getting the car back to the UK! What a beautiful color combo on this car, it deserves to be saved! Save the Manuals!

I agree. But he better be careful about buying expensive stuff and parts in the UK and shipping them back to the US, as there might be an import duty taxed to get them. Our US Customs agency frowns on people doing this as they think he might be doing it to resell back here for a profit. If he actually gets the tub and suspension in the UK and sends it back, he’s going to have to declare the value and might be taxed on it. Well in some cases unless it goes back within x amount of time he might not. I’ve shipped 500k dollars spectrum analyzers and other pricey RF test equipment back and forth and it was a mess on both sides to prove I was not importing them for sale.

Even if this car costs him 250k in the end (don’t think it will) it will be worth every penny for the content he is providing and the subs he is gaining. So far it’s been excellent and I look forward to the day he goes for his first drive. His force and drive is extremely entertaining.
