The location of the pyro fuse amazes me. There has to be an easier way to get to that thing.

There is an easier way - I've seen it done.. It requires knowledge of the location and the layout but it can be done with no disassembly. It is the same location for all 992's, and it's a crazy place to put it. But it's not as bad as he made it look.

I learnt so much from him taking the car apart, this is one of the best things I've seen on YT.

PAG has definitely had a few folks watching, either cheering him on or thinking how to impede him. It's a complex repair, no small feat by any measure with or without a camera, vlog rolling.

His Cayman repair was nothing short of astounding with no workshop manuals, no guidance, no official help.

Do share, enlighten us.

Just like everything in a modern Porsche, it requires documentation on the location of the fuse and how to remove it. The problem this guy has is that he had no idea what it looked like or how it would be removed or any documentation regarding the layout and schematics. Basically it requires sliding under the dash, sliding the tray out, and popping the fuse.... it requires some crazy contortions and it's ridiculous where it is, but this was done in an hour on a 992 GTS in front of my very eyes.

He will find that if it needs a front tub section that is more complicated than it would seem with just replacing. Only a Porsche Collision Center can a) order the parts, and b) technically do the repair work in order to buy the parts. This is a new process for Porsche/and the Porsche race cars. The fact there are tub dents in the wheel-well and he is stating it needs a front tub, there is more damage to be found yet.

Yes, $160k is right the cusp of being able to rebuild the car to its resale value. There is one for sale in Miami for ~$220k that was rebuilt from similar damage.

250k market price if it wasn't wrecked leaves him with 90k in wiggle room to rebuild. Even though it has a "clean title" Adam's wreck and Mat's rebuild will follow it forever, and 992 GT3 values will only drop from here likely... makes it hard to gauge. It's been said before... it's fantastic content for Mat (meaning ad $$) and he'll end up with a pretty sick GT3.

His murci series is even more insane IMO, that thing is thoroughly cooked

I would pay less than salvage value for how that car is being approached with the repairs - if it were done right it would be a good drivers car at a discount. This will end up being cobbled back together I suspect based on the dismantling of the car.

I agree- he's an enthusiast rather than a craftsman- he does seem to rope in specialists when necessary though. Can only imagine the squeaks and rattles when that dashboard is chucked back together😳
