GT3RS Allocation Thread
#1441
There’s 201 dealerships in the u.s.
how many have you actually called?
call 10, tell me the ADM from all 10, and if you can’t get 1 at 100 or less. I’ll happily connect you with the right guy.
I just can’t fathom any of you are serious

Bro, you're completely full of SHTT. Your post history is public...You've given about 20 different numbers on the "adm" you are paying on all these different cars that all conflict with each other
Then the dude chiming in 275k ROFL. Are you guys dealer principals or GM's that hop on this forum to make things up to get suckers to pay big ADM???
If you two are not lying and happen to just be consumers with their eyes completely closed, just ship me 50k and I'll get you an allocation at 100k no problem. You are very welcome

My local dealer is firm on 75K for repeat clients / 100k for walk-in's for GT3s and 200k for the 3RS which is absurd. Sad part is they are selling and could care less about losing repeat clients.
The best I have been offered on the 3RS is 100k (not my local dealer/s) but I passed after already ordering a GT3.
I tried connecting a few folks to that allocation and they were all tire kickers and wasted time.
Ps. just checked the users post history....went from I paid 50K for my GT3 to $60k with a trade in.....to dealer offering 125k for a 3RS and rejecting his/her 100k offer.....to now saying he/she paid 200k for the allocation. LMAO

I felt the same way hearing my local servicing dealer who I have bought from pre-covid tell me they sold 5+ allocations at $200k so its happening.

Some say you need to buy many cars from the same dealer. But then what happens if the dealer never sell you the car at a decent price?
Others say to call as many dealers as possible. I did and I either hear (1) we don't sell out of state (2) absurd over MSRP - think 100k for GT3 or 250k for GT3 RS (3) don't want to sell me new but then send me a bunch of 911s I don't want at absurd prices.

This is exactly the issue with the market. Feels like it would be easier if you could directly buy from the manufacturer perhaps?

Good point. The problem is "if" there is a recession. In which case I may not be in a position to buy anymore.

If you wouldn't be in a position to buy it during a recession, maybe you're not truly in a position to buy it now? It's a very expensive car to buy as a 'fun' car, and there are plenty of fun cars available at much lower price points. If you were to stretch to buy this RS, you will still be you, and your life will not be fundamentally different. I'm not saying never 'waste' money, just suggesting to not waste money you can't easily afford to waste.

If I already bought the car, then its not like I will feel the need to sell it to offset other things.
Perhaps a strategy is to set the MSRP of the car is an account invested against the market and then buy the car if the market tanks

Not to wax lyrical but they’re toys and will always be toys. My view is toys should be 5-10% of your net worth or your base salary if financing. If you lost it all tomorrow (highly unlikely) or your business / job it’s not going to be the end of the world.

We also have to wait for the "new shiny toy" syndrome to wear off. That'll happen once the 992.2 GT3 is close to being announced. The next "new shiny toy" will be the ST which will have many dealers asking ADMs of $200k-$300k. It's nothing more than a hamster wheel happening over and over again with these GT cars. Even though I get mine for GT I find the whole market full of speculation and froth (from both flippers and stealers).
