Can confirm this as well. The ones asking 100-200k ADM are most likely dealers that paid to buy the allocation or car. Sort of like how dealers were buying G63’s over sticker and then got stuck with them.

Same **** as during the 991.1 and 991.2 GT3RS times where stealers are paying over MSRP for allocations from other dealers, huh?

Many of those people are buying them for one or more of these 4 reasons.....1) gotta have the newest shiny toy ASAP, 2) because they think that the .2 version will not be NA, 3) because they gotta show the car off on Instagram and C&C, and/or 4) because GT cars are the new investment asset class that only increase in value.

5) The 992 3RS is an amazing piece of machinery and people want to drive and enjoy it.

That's why the rest of the people buy it, but still the minority of people.

My dealer called last week and said my build is in the system and the car is due July 2024. I'm at 75K over. I am super nervous because I see the Porsche bubble bursting with cars not moving and prices dropping.... Even the RS will not hold its value like we all thought it would. Gone are the days of paying $150K ADM and expecting to flip it for what you paid or more. My build is $314K msrp and with $75k on top I'm at $390k plus PPF/ceramic and California tax I'm at $440K.... I just don't see even breaking even.....and for $440K there are a lot of choices of cars out there. You're in 765LT territory and that will eat the RS for breakfast.

I currently track a 600LT after tracking a 991.2 GT3RS for 1.5 years and trading it for the Mclaren. I do 30 or so days a year. My thoughts were to get the 992 RS and see if I liked it better than the 600... If I did, then I sell the 600 and don't look back. If I didn't then I would sell the RS 3-6 months later and break even. That proposition isn't looking very solid now.... I doubt my dealer will agree to a smaller ADM at this point... I would be comfortable with MSRP or maybe $25K over max, but at $75k over I'm seriously thinking about backing out

Super Minority... I'm proud to say I have almost 5k on my 992 RS.
Most fun I've had with a Porsche.... Just amazing.

I doubt you’d be able to try the RS like that and break even. But no one has a crystal ball.

I also doubt 765LT will be able to hang with the RS in a track. It is a severely undertired car that mclaren. Maybe in a track like VIR with long straight, it might be able to make up time it losses in turns but make no mistake, it wont provide the same visceral experience the RS provides.

You do 30 days a year in a 600LT? How does it hold up? Honest question as I have heard Mclarens dont have great endurance.

If I were in your shoes, and assuming dealer isn't negotiable on adm, I'd back out of the $314k build and go with a stripper instead. $244k msrp gets you all of the track performance, you'd be sitting in a much better spot 3-6 months later trying to recoup $3xxk vs. $4xxk if you decide something else is preferred.
