GT3RS Allocation Thread
#661
The 991.1 GT3RS had crazier ADMs initially than the 991.2 GT3RS because there was BS thrown out that they would only 600-700 cars in the US. If I remember right ADMs were $100k-$150k early on (higher end was for the PTS cars) and unfortunately I fell for the bait and paid a $50k ADM for my 991.1 GT3RS but that was before I established a relationship with my dealer. Many of us have been around the rodeo enough time to know how things will play out when the dust settles but the newbies believe it'll be different this time, guess we'll see.

Not parenting anyone, just pointing out what has happened with the last 2 GT3RSs and that history has a way of repeating itself but I guess we'll see how things play out this go around.

992RS´s are moved and moved...
mine being already produced since 19.Dec
waiting for the wing
next to other hundreds of RS´s in Kornwestheim.
Nov production are moved to delivery Feb
March productions are moved to delivery July
May (PTS) productions are moved to MY 2024
hopefully mine (already produced) will be delivered 1.March as they say now.
problems are the "rear wing corners" (from a porsche guy how got already a service training on the RS) - as soon i have more details i will post them.

Well, with the caveat that I'm just looking at the numbers as far as TYD shows them... Apparently mine has moved _IN_ quite a bit. Build start now showing Feb 24th. As reported above that was April 7th. Perhaps it will move again given what you are saying about problems with parts...

The GT3RSs may suffer a similar fate with the wing part supply shortage as the Taycans went through in the 2nd half of 2022 where the cars were completed but sat at the factory for 2-3 months waiting for 12V battery that was in short supply. Hopefully not but be prepared for that.
The delivery dates shown in TYD for the RS did also move in 6 weeks or so. Thus at least right now there isn't a plan or intention to park this car for a while before shipping it -- or at least not that they are communicating to me. Of course I have no clue how closely milestone dates in TYD are managed individually versus moving as a set in lock-step so I suppose as you say anything might happen when these milestones click though. It will be interesting to see this play out.
