992 GT3 RS - wing gate

992 GT3 RS - wing gate
first of all: sry for my ongoing wrong spelling who/how, once/ones, and all the things i do not notice. also not afterwards. :/
992RSīs are moved and moved...
and there is a: 992 GT3 RS - wing gate !
mine being already produced since 19.Dec
waiting for the wing
next to other hundreds of RSīs in Kornwestheim.
.
following infos are based on a porsche mechanic + my thoughts (and are NOT based on any official statement)
so the reason is: the guiding / "pivot point" in the rear wing endplates.
there should be a rod from left to right - through the whole DRS wing part / or two rods on both ends in-molded/infolded a bit - connected to both endplates.
and this rod (which goes through the DRS wing) or the two rods aka the "suppository" breaks.
and so the endplates are even a bit lose. and the DRS wing part is not safe on both ends.
i first thought there is a curve-groove in the endblades - where a rod/suppository (male part on wing) moves in this curve (female part on endplates) - but it seems there is a pivot point. see this vid starting 1:45 until 1:47
if the pivot point in the endblades is the same position as the rearmost screw from the swan neck support - it would work.
and maybe there is another mechanic within the endplates.
so in total the DRS wing part - should have 4 bearing points on the same axis. and the outer bearing points are not strong enough. based on the linkage in the endplates (which we canīt see).
new R&D + updated parts + of course a new double rear wing assembly incl. end plates + maybe new moldings + and so on = the waiting.
that should be the reason for the delays. for the produced cars without wing.
.
my VIN is +- xxxx300 - 19.Dec
so today there should be (minus the press and company cars) around 300 RSīs waiting for their wings.
i got 1.March as new delivery date - which is imho a dealer safety first guess - good dealer to help me to reduce my stress level a bit
but a lot of guys are told following delays:
- Nov production are moved to delivery Feb
- March productions are moved to delivery July
- May (PTS) productions are moved to MY 2024
there is just one German registered "AC GT 525" customer car. thats the only one world wide i know.
i have no idea if this one has already an updated wing version - or just "f*ck u connections" to get his car early - to **** around with it in Monaco
me personal - as another ****** - iīm jealous - i would take my car also without wing (as ST) or with a poor wing.
but yeah. we are waiting for our RSīs already 25 months since the first spy pics come online.
Happy New Year all of us!
And:
Anticipation is half the pleasure.

My VIN is very high #32xx, idk what that means as a production date, but I was told back in August that my car is going to be built during Dec 2022 in the first bunch of cars.
And just reapeating what my salesman told me yesterday: We expect the car to be delivered to you till the end of January.

Ive seen many RSs parked in the factory without wings and I was guessing there might be some wing issues which seems the case now. gt3 tourings had some issues lately with their spoilers not being able to get closed too.
