In 2010 I couldn’t give away my 997.1 RS. I wanted to trade it in on a 997.2 RS and the dealer didn’t even want it and it was a black orange reverse pumpkin car. Sold it to a buddy for under $80k with about 12k miles on it.
Most you guys are full of sh*t when you say you wish these things dropped like bricks and would want Porsche to make thousands and thousands. Where were you back then? It’s easy to preach on a soapbox.
We used to drive these things into the ground and ask for more and Porsche listened. You want to be a valuable customer to Porsche. Go buy a few cup cars, attend events, make the effort and I can almost promise you, an allocation at MSRP will come about.

Dealers control their allocations, not Porsche. Once given, the dealer decides how and who to sell the allocation to. As one dealer told me, "Do you expect me to leave over $100,000 on the table?" This is the way it should be globally. The Porsche track experience program / masters experience should be a pre requisite to buy a GTRS car. Weed out the c&c / you tube flipper crowd and keep the car in the hands of enthusiasts with the appropriate driver training to handle and care for the car.

in 2016 I wanted to sell my 2016 991.1 GT3RS 204 k sticker with 1 k miles " nothing has to do with the car as I switch cars around frequently"
contacted few dealers and couple were not even interested , one offered 156 k
finally sold it for 196 k and I stuck with that dealer as they treated me fairly for years to come

The C&C/online poser crowd will always want the new shiny toys first and then you have those folks who think these non-numbered GT cars are some kind of investment class. For me, the Touring will nicely compliment the 3RS as it's a manual and undercover canyon caver that I can take the girlfriend out to dinner in. I'm gonna enjoy tracking the 3RS and 95% of the miles I put on it will be driving to the track, driving on the track, and driving back home from the track.

I have a 2023 GT3 MSRP 216 and want a new GT3RS MSRP 310. (Yes - The I Wants . . )
I found an allocation - Nov build with an ADM of 70 and a pre trade offer of 220. The GT3 is 'showroom' new with 5800 miles.
What to do?
1. New 992.2 GT3 arriving in 2025 - holding the trade when the RS arrives would take a hit.
2 The pre trade plus renting a car during the interim is undoubtedly overall less costly.
3. Or Plan C would be trying to selling the GT3 for more than 220, absorbing the sale tax offset and renting until the RS arrives.

I have a Cali store offering a 3RS allocation, 100k over MSRP total including my broker fee and a watch.

Did you pay sticker for your GT3? BaT sales have been around 25-40k over winged. I say sell privately. 70k adm for 3RS sounds average for now but seems like adm is falling fast. 100k was average beginning of the year.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in touch with local Porsche re selling the GT3. (They have no RS allocations). A 2023 GT3 in showroom has a sticker of 289).
Given the RS production hiccups I'm a bit gun shy letting the GT3 go😒 . . Maybe a year wait?
