With the immense popularity of S/T, would Porsche ever consider building more than the 1,963 cars it said it would only build? I realize the issue with all the original buyers not wanting this, but could this ever happen? It seems such a shame to put this beauty to pasture after the limited production release. Or will we see a more “affordable”, more “accessible” version after S/T, using a lot of similarities from the S/T?

Question - communication spec ST been at Sept 17 start and Sept 24 completion for four months (after denying PTS). You think this will stay or still a chance that a curveball comes and dates get delayed by days (or worse...momtns)

No, they won’t build more S/T’s than the plaque says. But the 992.2 Touring could be similar (even better in some ways) for less money (if you look at 911R and 991.2 Touring for historical context).

We’ve worked on a couple heritage S/Ts and countless GT cars of 992 generation…the S/T is probably the most unique combination and a 911 that’s truly one for the history books IMHO

From the carbon fiber used in body panels, the combination of leather/fabric, subtle lighting in dash, styling cues on fenders, and that’s not even getting into the mechanics of it all…I’m quite partial to the styling as I like the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” aspect

With all things relative to current marketplace, I think it’s worth the MSRP

Everyone that comes to the Asylum can’t help admire the S/T, even with a couple of 3RS right next them

This is fun to answer. No more than 1963, why? Because it’s an anniversary car and all anniversary cars have always been 1963. 10 years ago for the 50, 1963 and in 10 years for the 70th of the 911, it too will be 1963 cars.

I particularly like the part about asking regarding “affordable” this question will not age well in about 18 months when a 992.2 GT3 with a few desirable options checked will be priced in the mid to high $200k range. Considering the ST starts at $290k, will be an interesting proposition.

If it’s anything like 992.1, then 75-100k adm in major US markets will put market price around 350 for the gt3. Still a solid 150k less than asking S/T. Skeptical the S/T will ever be significantly more affordable than an R.

When was your car allocated.When was your freeze date. Car must be completed by 12/31. Did you get your pictures yet. What port as that is in the middle of winter in the North Sea.
I know you are disappointed but I went through something like this.

My car was originally a July build. No pictures. They haven't started building it yet. It's eventually going to Jacksonville for PEC Atlanta. Not really disappointed as much as I'm confused. Car sat at 12/07 expected arrival for months, then finally an 8 day delay last week, then another 55 day delay last night.

Change freeze point was 06/25

Your production is starting soon 7/10

Your manufacturing process has now started 08/19 (it didn't)

Production start date hasn't updated but now saying my car will be finished 10/29

Maybe so but they're still building other S/T's right now. Might be a PTS issue.
