TPMS is required in the US....so how are they able to clear customs with a car that isn't legal to operate in the US? Porsche sells the car to the US dealer so this doesn't add up.

Yeah - at Emden, PWL has two ships anchored (Rcc Prestige and Sfl Conductor) waiting for many days to dock to pick up cars. It's not just arriving ports that are jammed up.

Default TYD Mismatch

My CP8 came early when i checked TYD today and I noticed there is a mismatch between main site and TYD. I am just sticking with the pessimistic version so as not to get my hope high, but i am curious if anyone has experienced this and what the outcome was in terms of accuracy.

Main site

TYD

The dealer is tasked with much more sensitive and complex compliance items than waiting to issue registration on a car until TPMS is installed. The port isn’t sending dogs out to sniff out a car without a TPMS sensor. Let’s use our heads.

Car is almost in San Diego! Gosh seems like forever… been a long process. Almost at the finish line.

Was it confirmed cars are being shipped off from the port to dealers for them to finish bulletins?

Not the report I was hoping for. Mine arrived in Davisville late last week. It may be a wait yet.....

Mine was released from port this morning!!!
Was in jax for 16 days. The tpms campaign is incomplete.

so it is true they are releasing to dealers to finish.

bigger question is whether dealer will release them without TPMS? Certainly better sitting all clean and protected on the showroom floor however!

Or provides opportunity for a bunch of people to get in and out of it and wear out the side bolsters on the carbon buckets...

I would think daily storage at the port is expensive. Good thing if they are released early..

Interesting that this coincides with the arrival of the Siem Confusius this morning with the latest deliveries to Jacksonville.

(Cross-posting from what I posted on the GT4 forum this morning for those here that are interested)

For those of us with cars on the Siem Cicero, it is currently on schedule to arrive in Baltimore at 8pm EDT tomorrow. Fortunately there are no storms in a position to interfere with that.
Tropical storm Peter is not expected to get anywhere close to the US coast as it swings north so once Baltimore is done it should be good sailing southward for its remaining stops, including Houston!

Great news! My Gt3 unloads at Houston with it’s only listed bulletin being lack of a spare key.
