Just remind yourself that you'll never see the exterior, as you'll be driving all the time. And you'll be driving a LOT by your itinerary.

Tell yourself that when on lookers point and gasp, just accept the fact that when they are all exclaiming, "Good God, what is that thing?!", they all mean it in a positive way.

Now that I've cleared that up, call your dealer and get an allocation.

Bet you a dozen donuts that the 992 GT3 in the flesh will be a real panty dropper.

+1

If someone is akin to wanting their GT3 to look like a base Carrera with an Aerokit. Then by all means - go with a 991.2. The 992 GT3 with its double-wishbone front axle & drop-in cup car engine is MORE race car than the last. If beauty is the only attribute someone is after - buy a Carrera.

That said - if someone has been offered a chance for an allocation & is waffling. Please DM me.

From the Porsche website in the gt3 Sport Chrono section. Noticed the painted front valence. At first it looked odd to me, likely because I have obsessed over the pics with the black plastic. The more I look at it though, I think I like it..

I think it being painted actually attracts more negative attention to the strange shapes and the unusual lines where the top and bottom sections meet.

That's also a very high impact zone for rocks, gravel, and stones - even a PPF is going to show wear there quickly.

Also interesting that there's a wing (otherwise good fodder for Touring rumors).

This is truly horrific looking to me.. I'm starting to think only color I can consider for this car is black.

I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sorry, but I think the C8 is just awful in the rear, but the 992 looks fantastic. Especially the blue car posted a few posts up from mine. I agree that the "overbite" could have been blended a bit better, but overall it still looks great IMO.

The C8 is just a tacked on mess of shapes and is all over the place. Too bad too, because it's a great performer. I had high hopes, but just can't stand the look.

The new Vette looks like a Ferrari kit car.

At first. I thought it was great looking but the more I see them in person, the more they look cheap.

I thought the C7 wasn’t bad (on the outside).

if they could combine the new midengine C8 engine/interior with a C7 exterior, I would consider one as a track car.

Right now I couldn’t think of owning either one.
