Still more than enough car for a majority of GT car owners could or will unlock.

Not sure if the front tires may be worn, but I am 100% sure that you can tune that out with adjustable swaybars, tire pressures, compression front and rear, rebound front and rear, LSD overrun, LSD power, adjustable ESC and TC, etc

Also imagine there’s still adjustability in camber and toe too. Which would bring another layer

For sure, but that takes more than twirling a **** or spending a few minutes (unlike all the others).

So, 6:49 long track which is about 5s quicker than the 991.2 GT3 RS MR (6:54) driven by Kevin Estre and roughly 6:44 short track, again 5s quicker than the 991.2 GT3 RS MR (6:49) driven by Kevin Estre.

992.1 GT3 RS 6:49.xx - 20.8km
992.1 GT3 RS 6:44.xx - 20.6km

The car can put in marginally faster times than this, but we are hitting the law of diminishing returns - still a 6:49.xx (6:44.xx) time is blisteringly quick.

Obviously, Porsche think they can get more out of it and the Silverstone time (2:08) indicates more is possible.

What are the plaudits for this car going to sound like when the 992.2 GT3RS debuts?

That's why I've been tracking mine for 7 years and never had a strong temptation to 'upgrade' until this new RS. This RS is a quantum leap up, but does come with some drawbacks I'm still trying to weigh.

They will vanish into thin air to be honest, particularly with the release of the 992 GT2 RS, realistically, it will be at another level. I think the 992.2 GT3 RS will be interesting if its a 4.2L, but due to emissions it wont shift the dial much relative to the 992.1 GT3 RS.

Assuming there is a 992 GT2 RS

Great time - at the end of the day HP and torque make a very real difference. The other point, it shows how good the 991.2 GT2/3RS chassis is.

It is worth noting the 992 GT3 RS did 2:08.3 on worn tires and with a passenger. There is no way the 992 GT3 RS could have bested the 991.2 GT2 RS MR times round the ring - the 2RS due to its HP and torque can punch through the drag wall for much longer and accelerate harder out of corners and up hills.

Fair point, I would think so as it has the HP and torque to deal with the added drag and thereby also benefit from the positives of the aero package.

The 992 GT2 RS will post a 6:38 long track time (20.8km) and 6:33 short track time (20.6km) using the 992 GT3 RS chassis and aero package. Truly impressive. If its built.

I'm very curious about GT2 RS now. 991 GT2 RS was not better to drive than 991.2 GT3 RS IMO, just faster. I wonder if they manage to make the 992 GT2 RS all around better. An electricly-assisted turbocharger might do that - monster power but still instant response. The new Turbo engine makes producing 800+ HP easy. Crazy times.

Pretty sure the SS 2:08.3 lap was without passenger and they maybe they put on a fresh set of Cup 2Rs.
