Sorry a bit dirty in this pic!
Outdoor grade porcelain tile! I’ve abused it in every imaginable way and it has stood up to; at least seven or eight harsh Canadian winters, heavy SUV DD, jack stands, dragging heavy floor jacks, oil, brake fluid, you name it. I tried epoxy twice prior to giving up and going to route. Cleanup is easy, first I blast the oil stains with brake cleaner then a little heavy duty degreaser and it looks like new.

Love the GR GTS!

This is what I have had in mind for a long time. Would you mind providing a few details on the tile source, name, cost, etc...

Thank you!

My garage heavily slopes toward a center drain. Ridiculous work by a previous owner or contractor to have such an acute angle. Was waiting to level it out one day, but I'd rather just throw some titles on top if possible. Can any of the plastic tile products, specifically swisstrax be installed on an uneven floor?

Thanks, she’s a Carmine Red Manual GTS.

Its been many years since I had the tiles put down so I don’t recall the costs. What I can tell you is that Porcelain Tiles are rated for hardness on a scale of 0 to 5. The higher the better for outdoor and according to the box I have mine is in fact a grade 5 Italian Porcelain Tile. I believe the higher grades also tend to hold less moisture. Also it’s important use a better flexbond thinset Mortar for outdoors along with a good grout. I’m shocked myself how well the tiles and grout held up over the years to the abuse I give it, there are no cracks anywhere and we have big temperature changes.

Had epoxy for less than a year. Hated it. Chipped. Many issues and the winter destroyed it. Yes it was a DIY product, but needless to say I wouldn't do it again in another garage. To cover up the issues, I went with Racedeck free flow and they actually had accidentally sent me Racedeck solid tiles. I noticed the tiles to be quite slippery and when they sent me the free flow tiles, those were thinner so I was able to see right through them. Made me dizzy looking at them. Then decided to give the Swisstrax a try. It has been the best product I have found for the price. 2 car garage came in between $1500-2000 to do. The only other options I would consider would be Polyaspartic, Nature/Expoxy Stone or potentially a very non slip tile if there is such a thing.

Whatever you do, try and look at some garages with the products you are considering to see if they meet your needs. I wash my car in my garage often enough and with our winters here, something that can hold up to water, snow, salt and dirt is important.

I’m probably going to do Poly. Seems harder and more resistant to cracking. It won’t turn yellow on UV. About $2800, so more than $2200 Epoxy, but worth it

Anyone has NewAge Garage Cabinets? I’m looking at this one for example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NewAge-P...2119/300028097

I'm going to order NewAge cabinets soon. They seem like great value for money. Check Costco before ordering - here in Canada they have this set for $1799 CAD ($1350 USD~):

Great suggestion, though the poster linked to the Pro series which retails for a good bit more. In the past when I was shopping I found Costco regularly exactly the same prices as Home Depot, but on occasion up to $100 less.

I have the shorter version of those exact cabinets with 2 top center cabinets. Received the cabinets in pieces very well packed, cabinets are good quality and went together easily with clear instructions. One door was slightly damaged on the bottom edge and a replacement was sent without issue at no cost. I really like them.

Costco does have them. I’d order from Costco before anywhere else, but since this brand is available from other places, I wonder if I could get a coupon or get them on sale. They aren’t cheap.

I recently installed NewAge Pro cabinets in my garage and am very pleased with them. I opted to hang them from the wall instead of setting them on the floor. I like to keep items on the floor to a minimum.

I use a 4x4 hardened ceramic tile with a little grip on it. my garage floors are now 12 years old and still look as great as day one. I used a dark grey grout and sealed the grout, so i can pressure wash out the bays anytime I want.

I want to say for my six bays 28x40 times 2 garages was about $6000 labor and install (12 years ago though...)
