My order for a 2017 just got bumped today to a model year 2018.
Here are the changes:

Now included as standard equipment:
• Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel
• Connect Plus to be equipped with the following new features:
− Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
− Online Destination Search using Google®
− Nav and Info Services (News, Weather, Flight Info, Portal POIs, etc.)
• PCM with optimized screen design and functional improvements
• Instrument cluster with new air circulation display
• Optimized active carbon fine dust filter: reduces particles, pollen and odours. Filters out
fine dust from outdoor air.


Paint and interior are not immediately known. The price increase was less than what I was expecting.

 

Did you place your order today, or was it updated in middle of the build? Will love to hear pricing and other details such as expected delivery, as my car is in build too.

 

Do you know what your production and delivery dates are?

 

The order was in progress for awhile; but officially ordered yesterday, March 13th. Build date is June and that stays the same, with delivery in July. My order is being delivered to Canada, so I was expecting a currency exchange adjustment with the new model year. Fortunately, that didn't happen and it still works out to be quite a deal. Our SA reserved an allocation for us in early December... and are we ever thankful for that action now! A big shout out to Porsche Halifax!

 

Interesting. My build is March 10th and delivery is 2 months later (May 12th). If your cars builds in the first week of June, I'm betting you'll see it the start of August. Curious as to the PCM change - a couple of criticisms of the look of it in the 2017. I hope I'm wrong and you do get your car in July.

 

The configurator for the 911's are not showing base, S, and GTS models. I guess they are loading the new prices, options, and etc.

Do you know what the % increase was over 2017?

 

In USA now, if you enter a 2017 code at porsche-code.com the configurator will give you the option to upgrade to 2018. Price increase is 1.7% on my build. The multifunction steering wheel remains an option. Chalk, chalk seatbelts, black exhaust tips are new options.

 

New car is out. 17' is now garbage.

 

The 2018's exhaust sounds like a DustBuster.

So if I read this right, they are adding "chalk" (another off white/silver/grey) color to the options? So we have White, Carrera White, Chalk, Rhodium Silver, GT Silver, Agate Gray, Black and Metallic Black. Only 42 more shades of gray to go. Unless you count Graphite Blue because it looks gray about 80% of the time.

 

 

The '17 was the last real Porsche. It was much more analog, raw and visceral. The '18 is too big, too soft, and it's really more of a luxury GT for people who just want to be seen in a Porsche but don't really appreciate driving.
