2018 model year changes

Interesting...
The Canadian build site is back up. Base price for C4 is the same and option prices also appear to be the same. I note that there is no longer an option selection for "Multifunction Heated Steering Wheel" which now shows up as an item under "Standard Features".
So, the 2017 car I have on order actually costs about $500.00 more than if I ordered one today.
US build site doesn't show multifunction and heated steering wheel as standard. Car Connect is standard in the US. Car Connect Plus with 4G LTE, traffic, etc. is now showing as standard in Canada. My build shows Car Connect, but no mention of Car Connect Plus.
Will be interesting to see what changes have been made to the PCM display.

Just had my 2018 gts 4 order confirmed by pfaff delivery date to be Aug 12. I put a deposit down on january 9 and asked for 2018 as my lease is up September 2017. I have a black C4S 2014 now. I ordered chalk exterior. Hope colour works out close to fashion grey.

Nothing like Porsche delivering model year cars in July of the prior year...
I have to believe that, at some point, a consultant told them "hey, we could get six months of price increases up front if we just started calling the 2008 car a 2009 midway through 2008. Brilliant!"

Hey Kayjh. The model list of the base c4 on the configurator is the 2017 price. If you click to configure the car the base comes up about 1900 dollars higher. So dont worry that the price went down because it didnt. My gts has kept going up and up First jump was base price from introduction about 1000 dollars. next was 2000 extra for gts pdk. and now about 1500 for model year. Ouch.

In the end, features are always changing from year to year. I decide in December I was going to get my first 911 and wanted it to drive for the summer. If I had waited for the 2018 models, I'd be taking delivery in August, which around here would leave me with about 6 weeks of "summer/fall" driving. if I was already in a 911, no big deal, but kind of want the car as soon as the snow is gone.
I'll do the feature leap when the 992 arrives.

I have a '17 Targa 4 GTS on order. Just noticed these changes. Don't think anything justifies the price jump of about $1700 for my car. Also note the option for the silver Targa rollbar on the GTS model has disappeared!
