My first was 997.1 C4, currently have 991.1 C2. Feels as planted if not more than C4 did. Very sharp around the corners (especially with stiffer bushings on drive train). Have had the car for almost a year now and still cant believe its not AWD. Granted i am not driving this one in winter like i did the first one but in the rain, if i'm not going nuts, i cant tell its not AWD.
And without bigger engine and extra toys its lighter so changes directions easier. Again probably wont feel if not racing.

I'm sure even OTS tune will help. Best if you get a pro-tune done. Or call softronic and ask if his tunes can adjust properly for headers only.

Will be joining the 'base' C2 991.1 ranks here soon. Found an excellent model from a fellow RL'er, moving up from a 996 C4S, which despite a lot of talk in that subforum, the car has never left me stranded, had an issue, or needed work done besides wear & tear and replacement of now 17 year-old parts. Original IMS/RMS, all that jazz. Been a spectacular car for the money (well, when I bought it- not to keep it running$$$). Looking forward though to having something newer and more modern for a DD, which is how I use my 996. Is a great build with some quirky stuff, that I'm seeing others also have on their C2s. Also like many others, I'd rather have a lower-mileage, better documented and better maintained C2 than C2S for more money, usually fewer options, and it's just been impossible to find anything where the interior hasn't been thrashed! A 911 is a 911, regardless of model generation or designation. They're simply the best!
