Show us your base C2!
I've noticed that there just doesn't seem to be much love on here for the base Carrera. Like many here, I struggled with the base vs S conundrum and for me and my budget, I decided that a newer and lower miles base for everyday city driving was the way to go. This is not intended to be a base vs S debate, but rather an opportunity for my fellow base owners to show off their beloved babies.
Here's my 2014 pride and joy in Mahogany Metallic over Luxor Beige. It's equipped with PSE, PDK, and SC and I look forward to my commute every single day. Let's see some more.

I think Porsche marketing creates this view/understanding of the models. They several times have introduced an S model first and a "base" later. This contributes to the impression that the S model is the "standard" one and the base is a step down. Rather than seeing the Porsche as a Porsche and the S is a "step up", so to speak.
I've got a 991.2 911 (non-S) and don't feel I compromised in any way. Car just rocks, and ofcourse fully loaded it came in near $115,000 so its not like i was hunting for a bargain. I've got less "S envy" with my "Base" as my engine is the same size as the S variant anyway and the difference just comes in added turbo spec and its extra strain on the motor.
So here is my "standard 911", and she is everything I've ever wanted. If for some reason i eventually need more power than this, i'll go for a lightly used Turbo model.

OP - nothing wrong with a base 911. It's still a 911!
Test drove and almost bought a CPO and a new one.
Would have been just as happy as I am now.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures in this thread and celebrate everyone's 911!

I always liked the Base oval exhaust pipes better than the S quad exhaust ... I had a base 997.1 and when getting the 991.1 back in 2012 and the manual finally became available the only allocation I could get was an 'S' ... I wanted a base but got tired of waiting.
So yes there is a lot of love for the base and really the big picture is the Base is an insane car ... the fact it's referred as a base is kind of strange ... this car is far from a base.

Here's my base 2015 Carrera. It has PDK, PSE, red seat belts, glass sunroof, park sensors w/reversing camera, Sport Design steering wheel and factory XAT body kit. It's my first Porsche, and almost certainly not my last.
