Love those 991R steering wheel. Since they look exactly the same as the regular non MF .2 GT sport wheels except for the color, can we order a 991R wheels and fitted to a 991.1?

I'm sure. Only in manual of course!

You know how much they will cost

The RS wheel is $3,195

My new one was $1,300

The R wheel?? Guessing $4-5K?

Plus new airbags around $1K

You mean a .2 owner delete the **** off the wheel?? That's the only way they have to use the sport/sport + buttons. Not on the console.

I think unecessary

Too much going on for me here.
I have had both and this really works well. Everything is in front of you, especially with the MF steering. You never reach to the center stack or console. It's all very functional. Another neat feature is the power button. That's a great little bonus with the 20 second blast off. At the same time the timer in the dash counts off the time remaining when settings will return to normal.

The steering wheel in this picture looks very busy because of the levers and dash in the background. In real life it looks pretty good.

Many companies have adopted that double-three spoke type of driver's wheel. It makes ordering a Bespoke car easier so one doesn't have to choose from the multi button function wheels with the sport wheel with the flappers (A situation one would have to make in the 997 days; talking about from the manufactuting).

Now if there are items one would like from the manufacturer can add greater and more selection/activation options. While further being Safer when you don't have to take your eye's off of the road. I get surprised when I see essentially the same driver's wheel on a newer. Helps the industry to adopt and standardize specific options while modifying cost go down.

This is the wheel I'd like to transplant into my car.
