The new wheel and airbag worked fine for 5 days then the airbag light came on. I took it in today and it seems the plastic tab on the clock spring that locks in the harness was broken. Probably by Hennessy during install.
I had taken it to Perimeter today because Hennessy was booked till Thursday.
So they charged me $650 to replace the clock spring. While doing this they noticed a pin on the steering wheel harness was bent. Harness isn't available as a separate part from wheel. So they are trying to fix the pin.
What a nightmare!

Absolutely shocked that a dealer caused this damage. You should hold them accountable totally unacceptable.

Hennessy has a smoother model:
- Can email service advisor for quotes and get a response, and schedule via email. At Jim Ellis I find they don't reply to emails and I have to call them.
- Hennessy offers online payment so you can have a faster pickup when you go to get your car
- Better facilities when you are waiting at the dealership for service
- Use nitrogen on tires
Perimeter has some benefits too:
- They fixed the problem Hennessy caused with the new wheel
- Better loaner cars
However I was shocked that Perimeter doesn't have a nitrogen machine for tires. Seems odd given porsche is a performance brand.

Did mine and its great love it. Best upgrade I've done once I finally got it settled out. MF wheel swap out won't work but the non-MF one will with the addition of the MF control stalk. Easy peasy.

Anyone has experience with this eBay seller called "911ava"?
He is selling some nice 911.2 wheels. I like this particular one:

This wheel is not custom. If that airbag is vinyl not leather then this price is too high.

In curiosity, why the stitching differ than the porsche's 'pointe-crosse' version? As you requested or vendor limitation?

Here is a photo I took at the Porsche Exclusive Studio at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta last November. This is a genuine factory wheel. I copied this stitching.

But I don't know the part number. If you find a car like that in dealer inventory you can have them do a part lookup using the VIN

The vendor can do it either way. The reason I went with the cross stitching is because this is the way Porsche does deviated stitching.
