Talk about jinxing myself, the little hoop that the end of the watch band tucks into snapped today after 10+ years! Just checked on the cost of replacement band - $245!! For a rubber watch band! Wtf! I could replace the entire watch for about a grand. Gonna use a small black rubber band...

Have to agree. Except for the original Navitimer 01. Classic pilot's chrono IMHO.

Put aside the Rolex stigma for a moment and understand the company built arguably the most robust dive watch on planet Earth.
My wife's uncle was part of the Navy's deep dive team during the '60's and had multiple missions aboard the Trieste. The entire team was issued Rolex Subs. Not fashion, function.
I purchase a Sub in 1985. It has been in continuous service from day 1. I wore it for 20 years and gave it to my Father in law who has been wearing it to this day. One repair to the flip clasp and one crystal replacement. Where else can you use an incredible piece of equipment for over 30 years and triple your money.

Beautiful in gray! I have the PO 600 in Orange (stainless) and blue (titanium). Both are 42s. The orange is an older one with 2500 CoAx movement and aluminum bezel. The blue is 8500 mvmt and the ceramic bezel. The ceramic really looks better, higher quality, not just because it's more robust.
