Noticed while installing a new oil filter there were some uneven gaps in the foam air box gasket where it meets the venturi's. Popped off the box and discovered the cheezy foam gasket was the culprit. Presume this allowed hot engine bay air in and fed foam fragments into the air cleaner below. Scrapped off most of the foam then hit with some de-natured alchohol to remove the glue. Scuffed the seam with 200 grit, washed and rinsed. Let dry then glued down some good quality closed cell foam. Air box now sits and seals properly. Small job that took all of 30 minutes. T

Had some 1/4" closed cell foam leftover from another project: http://www.classic9leathershop.com could also source 3/8th" at Ace, etc. Either will work fine. T

Just negotiated/ordered a set of 9x20 & 12x20" Vorsteiner V-FF 104 flow-forged wheels from leo@vibemotorsports. The carbon graphite finish is the only choice offered for the 991 WB and will decide if this finish works upon arrival. What drew me to these wheels were the staggered, flatter 9" wides up front and 12" deep concavity out back. Bonus...no spacers required and rims are lighter than most. Thinking ahead and might lighten things up colorwise taking cues from what NoGaBiker has done... keeping the barrels darker (brake dust color ha-ha) in this case carbon graphite, then paint/clear the faces a lighter silver or...TBD. https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9376...gt-silver.html Updates soon. I predict that you will hate them. Just plan on selling them at a huge discount shortly after you get them.

To me!

Love the dish on those babies.
