and there off...calipers that is and father's favorite three words (he likes the ponies). Shipping tomorrow to the powder coater. Great time to do this...rear pads were just about done, coming up on 2 year brake fluid flush, and new wheels due soon. Yee-haw. T

Tony, Are you stripping the pistons and hardware before you send out, or are they doing that for you too ?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob, Powder coater requested I drain the fluid, remove pads, clips, sensors, and bleader screws before shipping. He then completely disassembles, strips original finish, cleans, inspects internal parts, then reassembles. T

it's coming together....Vorsteiner rims came in today along with Centric low dust street pads. Note: cannot unbox rims until Bemo gives the Have been careful removing the brake pad wear sensors and understand why Porsche wants us to replace..two of them crumbled in my hands. T

Vorsteiner offers only the Carbon Graphite finish for the Porsche WB and it's a bit dark. Friend told me about Plasti Dip and have been experimenting with and comparing to paint/clear samples. Plenty of color choices, metallics, pearls, to choose from. Garage a bit cold today and hopefully finishes will improve when it warms up soon. T

Would love to see those on the car. I think I will like them. Do you need spacers for widebody fitment ?

Spacers not necessary for the WB. Current Carerra Classics are 8.5"W/51 offset running 5mm spacers. Rears are 11"W /52offset with 15mm spacers. The V wheels are 9" front and 12" rears. T

Dropped off rims/tires today to be mounted and road force balanced. Rotors have been turned and picked them up. Cleaned the hats, scuffed with 320, cleaned again, then sprayed two coats of etching primer. First coat of high heat paint went on and will apply second coat tomorow followed by finshing clear coat T
