Cobb accessport was an early birthday present. The 40+ minutes to do the reprogramming was nerve-wracking... I used a Clore/Pro-Logix PL2320 20A battery charger and while the gauge started at 100%, after the doing the PDK and ECU flashing it dropped to 79%. Not sure this was the ideal unit to support the flashing process. I'd welcome suggestions on alternatives that are known to provide sufficient current without the battery drain (and while also not being some monstrous roll-around handcart).
Both of the tunes seemed to 'take', though the repeated stream of yellow alerts on the MFD was a bit unsettling! We'll see how it performs over the next few days as my daily.
I use the Schumacher power supply (link below)for coding and flashing of modules. Although I do not use it for Cobb as I go back and forth between 93 and 103 tunes and it does not take long. I usually just do this in the gas station parking lot.
I just use it for coding and operations that take over 30 minutes, as long as the battery is good shape you should be OK. I have not had to use it on my 911 but used it on my F80 when I updated various modules.
mine is being delivered tomorrow. Not going on a 991, but rather on a chalk 718 GT4. Happy to lose the only bit of gold on the exterior of the vehicle.
If you figure out a way to get that cover off to get to the bolts, let me know. My turbonite crest showed up on Friday and I cannot get that plastic piece off in a manner that I am not afraid of scratching the paint.

Interested to hear your thoughts, I just installed ECU/PDK on my stock 991 C2S - I had just installed an antigravity lithium battery prior to flashing and had it on a 10 Amp charger and only lost 1% of charge in the process. The stream of faults was definitely nerve wracking as I hadn’t heard anyone mention that before. I am now out of town so will have to wait until the weekend to get some seat time and see how it feels.
Added black leather with guards red stitching for my air vents and steering column. It may not look like it but it's a big improvement over the cheap looking silver and plastic
I hope your experience with Mr12Volt is as great as mine has been since I installed it about 9 months ago. For me it has been every bit as good as OEM CarPlay in our other 3 vehicles, and all the OEM PCM 3.1 modes are still fully functional.
The other advantage is that it provides better sound quality over the other alternatives that retain the PCM 3.1 HU because it is provides all digital outputs. The others involve digital/analog conversion, which degrades the signal. Switching between PCM functions and CarPlay are done with the Source button on the PCM HU.
New rear tire.
Picked up a large clevis-type pin last week. Third time driving the car since purchasing in mid Feb.
#Awesome.
Dealer was $150 less than other options. And they had it in stock.
Our local Porsche dealership always seem to have inventory (Cup 2, PA4, PS4S, P Zero) and are competitive.
The local MB dealership will match TR pricing but much smaller inventory, and they will not bring in non OEM tire options.
That's been my experience too. I always price the tires at TR or elsewhere, and they usually match or beat the price on OEM tires including mounting and balancing.
I'd recommend mentioning that you want date codes no more than 1 year old. I did have a dealer once replace a punctured tire with one about 2 years old, they had sitting in inventory.
