Got my 991 an owner last weekend & drove it home to Orlando. Washed this weekend and put a few miles on. Delighted with the purchase so far!

QUOTE=malahhaor;18827977]Installed a Turbo rear deck lid on my C2 with a custom LED strip for stop light.
Got me some ram air action going on. Probably at least whopping 0.5hp

Installed Rennline wind deflectors - mainly for track work, but also for regular windows down driving. Boy, do they work for being so small. Hope they don't get stolen...

The lid itself is a direct swap, take stock off, put turbo on. Just got to make sure its same years turbo 991.1 ~2014.
The stop light will need to be MacGyvered since Turbo doesn't have it in the decklid.
I'll try and put together a DIY.

Edit: DIY here https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1350...l#post18829557

Doesn’t get any better than full Emotion + Tractive! I’ve heard that’s a better suspension than even a GT3. Nice upgrade!!!

I had these as well but the tape started peeling from the back side of the deflector it self. Saw someone else on this board mention they had the same issue and Rennline was actually pulling the product. I reached out to them and they confirmed they have been seeing alot of issues and have actually pulled them from the market and are working on a redesign. I also noticed that the black coating the use seems to be pretty fragile and will chip easy. I ended up ordered the Blackmill Performance versions and the finish is much better and they have not started to come off at all. Rennline was great though in handling and they actually coordinated with Pelican Parts on my behalf to get my refund for the product. I have no doubt they will redesign and come up with a great product to replace it.

I used the DB carbon ones. They use a OEM Porsche part and overlay carbon on them so they bolt in just like stock. They work great and haven’t had to think about them in 3 yrs. Buy once, cry once.

Yeah I would have much rather had the permanent ones that replace the OEM piece but on the earlier .1 cars you have to take the whole door apart to get them off, had I had one where i could just pop off the interior piece and access the screws i would have done that no questions asked.

I have a 991.1 RS and it was easy, no door disassembly , is it different for earlier.1’s?

Yes, i think in 2014 is when they changed it. But 12.5/13 model years have to take the whole door part, disconnect the airbags and some other things. After watching
I decided I was not worth it just for a wind deflector.

More of an update than new thing.. but in this pic you can see two nice upgrades.
1. Updated "deep black" magnetic stone guards from tx targa that look great and perfectly match the matte black accents of my GTS
2. Another pic of the Seasucker Komodo bike rack that works perfectly on the Targa glass

Oops, I ordered Blackmill ones too, not Rennline. Looks like I should be good to go.
