My 17 carrera doesn’t either but my 996.2 did. Interesting!

This must be a difference between the narrow body C/S/T 991's and the GTS/4/Turbo/GT models? Pretty cool.

Mine is a widebody 4s too and all I have there is the normal panel with the frunk and engine cover buttons. Never heard of it as an option either unless it was a Porsche Exclusive option. It's pretty cool, don't see that at all.

I believe they eliminated the umbrella slot (the umbrella was not included) on 991.2 models. BTW, the slot was on the passenger side.

Confirming for others, 2013 991.1 C4S has the umbrella slot on the passenger side, no slot on driver side.

@Catharpin - can you share a link to where you bought your umbrella? Last I checked they were on the pricy side....

hmmmm I knew there was a reason why so many on Rennlist prefer the 991.1. Makes so much sense now

It's not the greatest umbrella, more of an emergency use item. It's a bit pricey but it fits in the door sill perfectly, as it was made specifically for this.
