What did you buy your 991 today thread

Welp, first thing I've done is install the AWE Wind Diffusers. Irony is that I have not driven the car yet so I don't even know how bad it is without them. I'm just glad it's a 991.2 so removal of the door panel was not required! I read that the Blackmill solution works a bit better however these look better and could pass for a stock part. I also ordered other goodies but haven't gotten around to installing them yet.

Are the centerlocks OEM or aftermarket? I have a set of O.Z.'s from a 997.2 Turbo up on classifieds and have attracted some chatter...never enough. I have them priced down to $1,450, free freight. Be lucky if I net $1,250 for them, the typical 50% discount from new. Nothing new with this.

Removed Cobb Tune and Cobb PDK tune off the car to get it ready for "Sale".
Wow, you forget how different your car is without some things you add on over time. More than the ECU tune, removing Cobb tune made a huge difference. (not in a good way)
Took it out for a quick drive to make sure all is well.. and did not enjoy as much with the Cobb Tune, reverse shifting and even full throttle upshifts.

Found a 50th anniversary engine lid at a local Porsche Shop that does body modifications Cost a pretty penny, but still A LOT less than a new one. The Chrome accents actually look good in real life. Worst case I figured I would just plastidip in matte black.

Replaced "personalized" illuminated door sills with OEM model specific door sills. Received them a few weeks ago and was dreading doing this change because of all the threads and videos claiming how arduous a job this was. All and I pretty much mean all sources removed the existing adhesive via various means. All were at it for a long time. I was prepared to do just that and had the materials on hand to do it.
I used a heat gun to soften the leading edge and then used a plastic trim tool to pry the end and then continued to push it deeper under the sill until a good portion was lifted free. I then heated the sill a bit more along its length and just gorilla pulled that son of a bitch off. It seems the adhesive tape wants to stick to the painted metal surface more than it wants to stick to the plastic, especially when heated. I started to remove the residual, and to be frank, that sucked. So I just left it be and installed the new sill guards right on top. No harm no foul. Looks perfect. Just more adhesive under the sill guard. Works for me and any new owner that doesn't like the illuminated sill guards can mess with them after I'm done with the car. I'll probably be worm food then

I have Fuch style center lock wheels I purchased here on the marketplace. They have silver spokes with gunmetal. Been thinking I'd get them powered coated so they're silver with satin black to pick up all of the black trim bits. Now I'm rethinking that.

diamondcarmats.com I have them in both cars. There are other "brands", though I suspect they're all made in the same factory in Asia somewhere. There is however, one brand, which I can't remember ATM, that has some nicer features, including embossed and embroidered logos and personalization if wanted. They also have carpeted inserts that can overlay the quilted floor section. I believe another Lister posted them here in the forum.
