Very nice... I'm confused though, I thought retrofitting a GT3 bumper was so expensive as to be near impossible ?
Well, I scored the OE bumper for $1000 shipped to my door. It had a chunk that had been ripped off underneath, but its part of the bumper so they replaced the whole thing. I got lucky in that aspect. I had it repaired and from the exterior you cannot tell at all.
it ended up being a fairly expensive project, and still climbing, for a couple reasons. One is that GT parts are about 4x the price of regular carerra parts. The second reason is that I wanted every part underneath to work as it should. For example, GT cars have the third radiator so I bought the 3rd radiator for my car as well as all the GT inner ducts. I still need the whole impact bar and both front wheel well liners specific to the GT car. At that point, I will be about $4500 into it plus paint, but every single piece is OEM. The kit from Suncoast is $8k.
I recently sold my Carrera T and no longer need these HRE FF04 wheels with Cup 2s. I believe they will fit any narrow body 991 or 991.2. Please see my Rennlist ad here if interested:
what is new about the catches? My 2017 makes noise no matter how much lubrication.
The new part seems identical to the old ones. I haven’t noticed any changes to the door angle.
It’s too early to tell since the parts is new but there were others reporting the new parts have been upgraded to be noise free. I have been lubricating these anually but the noise returned after few months.
