Chicago Auto Pros has been doing videos on application and performance of over 20 ceramic and ceramic type products.
I tried Technicians Choice Tec582 this week based on his results so far. Spray on, easy to wipe off if applied as directed (ie not too much spray on a panel and do windows first to prevent streaking as it says on the bottle). I don't know the results yet as I just applied it and I also applied it over Ammo NYC Reflex. But based on how well
it's doing on Chicago Auto Pro's compared to all the others he's testing, I thought it was worth a try. Got it on Amazon.
The parts guy at the dealer kept insisting it had to be purchased along with the shift ****.
the manual shift **** does come with the boot. you just reuse only the boot part for PDK cars. thats why the boot costs so much because its bundled with the **** only
Also, keep in mind that part numbers, design and costs differ as between 991, 981 and color of stitching on the leather boot. The boots are interchangeable though. I preferred the 981 boot also so put it on my 991.1. Highly recommend you read the entire thread and referred to in post 5300 above and watch the videos referenced there.
Finally decided on getting some PS4's for my spare wheels, to replace the Cup2's. Cups SUCK in the cold and wet, so it's about the worst tire for the PNW for 8 months out of the year.
This was also mu first time removing a center lock wheel. It was far easier then people say, and with the proper tools not hard to torque to 444ft-lbs.
On my test drive, these tires are so much smoother, and quieter! Grip in the cold and wet is SO MUCH better then Cups! Steering feels is not as good, and turn in is not as sharp. The PS4's will stay on until July!
