Caved and bought an icarsoft por v2.0 to add to my ever-growing pile of OBD tools. Sad that OBDEleven doesn't (or didn't.. hmm, I should try again) work for what I need.

Hey Asellus - I see you're from Maple Grove...so am I. Mine is a silver 2012 991.1. No front plates. Had it about 1.5 months now, and haven't seen any other 911's in town. Hope to see meet you around town sometime.

No, I'm not. I've got a coupe. But now I'll be looking out for that one too. LOL
To stay on track, my icarsoft por V2.0 is arriving tomorrow, along with a wheel hanger, a red "S" badge to add some color, and a carbon fiber remote key shell.
my new (to me) set of Volk TE37's arrived on monday and spacers came in yesterday! Can't wait to the set on hopefully later today or if not, then friday. Will post pics in another thread to show wheel/tire fitment. They're just typical specs (19x8.5 +52, 19x11 +63) but will have 8/10 spacers on it. Hopefully itll help others searching for wheel fitments like it did for me when i spent hourssssssss researching specs lol
P.S. - excellent condition 20-in Carrera Classic wheels with TPMS and tires will be for sale! hahah
I think most cost effective upgrade would be: Musicar tweeters + dynamat Xtreme door kits. it'll improve sound quality quite nicely.
Is there a specific kit for the 911.2, or instructions somewhere highlighting which areas should be covered exactly? If I don’t have instructions, and because of my OCD, I’ll most likely end up with 15lbs of dynamat in each door!

Highly doubt that, I did most of the cabin, both doors, the floor, and the rear seat area. It was around 20lbs total. It would take several layers to the doors and panels to get them that heavy. Most likely they would not fit back on the doors after.
Basically, you just cut the material to fit, then stick it on. It's not rocket science. There are plenty of threads with pictures that you can use as a guide.
Interested in your impressions. Added this to my GT4 and it transformed the ride quality. I don’t feel it’s “required” in my 991 as it was in the GT4 to fix a completely overdamped setup, but if it smooths out the high frequency bumps then I may get another one.
My base 991.2 has squishy spring rates - hoping this will make it "feel" more planted than before. I got this because my next step will be some suspension changes, which I think is really where this will shine. Will let you know how it goes this weekend but impressions from some street driving have been good so far.
I filled mine with 97 Octane today, as I always do. Does this mean the fuel we are using in the UK is a higher grade to US or is it measured differently.
Different octane rating system. US 93 octane is equal to EU 98/100 RON.
One source says:98/100 RON means you will need to use 93 PON in the States.
