What did you buy your 991 today thread

One other thing, as I said I am going to paint the silver one Carmine Red with PPG automotive paint, and color fill with matte black. I have to say though, the black with white color fill looks really sharp in the car which has black leather and GT Silver deviated stitching. Looks like the car came that way. Not sure if I’ll like it Carmine Red but gonna give it a try. One thing in favor of CR is I would think it would stay a good bit cooler in the summer than the black one.

Thanks! There is 1/2” of height adjustment and mine is at the lowest setting. According to their website, this shaft is adjustable +/- 0.25” from stock height, and mine is set at the lowest setting, 1/4” lower than standard which is not much, so probably the camera angle makes it look too short. I do like it there but may tinker with it some. Installing it was easy. One tip, start the set screws in their holes before you start the mounting process. Dumba** me didn’t do that and one of the set screws dropped in the tunnel and it took me close to an hour to locate it and then fish it out with a magnet. Another good idea is to put a microfiber towel (which I didn’t do) over the opening so if you do drop something it is easily retrievable.
Other folks have pointed out that the **** can get very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. For the summer I plan to drape a microfiber towel over it when it’s parked outside. For winter I guess it’s gloves. One last thing, I really do like the increased weight of the shifter and the size of the shift ****.

I have ordered brake pads for it from https://www.concord-parts.com and I have already replaced the old ones. I will put in the new pads as soon as they arrive

It's a Techart steering wheel. I bought it through a local reseller. Took about 8 weeks and ran about $3,500. It's a lot of $, but then again - what isn't with a 991.
You have to buy a new core steering wheel (they source, which is OEM) - when you return your original core, you get money back (or you can opt to keep both - but then runs way too much $). The drawback with their model is you give up your original wheel - which could be an issue for some. I figure you build the car for yourself - not the next owner.
Noticeably thicker, more pronounced flat bottom, overall well made, love the Alcantara and the paddles are an improvement over those thumb shifters on the MF wheel.

Was $3,500 a typo?
