did you install yourself or pay a pro? if diy, how difficult/time consuming was it?
I did it myself and would rate it a 3 on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty. It comes with great instructions. The only challenge is getting the cables through the firewall, but the whole thing took me maybe an hour to complete.
I'm a big fan of the Schosche Magic Mount series. I use a Vent Clip model for the Porsche and wife's SUV. And in my Wrangler I used the one that sticks to the dash board with adhesive because... well, because it's a Wrangler and who cares?
The magnets are strong as crap and I never have to reposition the phone. But if I want to reposition (horizontal instead of vertical) it's effortless. I got sick and tired of trying to spread the Kenu Airframes I had with one hand while inserting the phone with the other. Magnet for the win.
Oh, and they stock them at Target if you want one in a hurry. Of course Amazon has them also.
I received the Kenu Airframe today, and it works like a charm. I use my phone for Google Maps, and while I primarily use the voice navigation feature, I also occasionally like a visual reference and the Airframe puts the phone right at eye level where it's easy scan while still keeping an eye on the road.

Questions for those who installed the Fusion Dock:
1) My car does not have the smokers package, will the fusion dock still mate up properly (in the installation guide it looks like it mates up to the hardware that holds the ashtray - I don't think I have this hardware)?
2) The USB is routed to the connector in the glove box, does that mean I now lose that USB port (I currently have a 256 GB memory stick in that port for my music files)?
TIA

+1 on this device. I have the one with dash adhesive and it's very good. Small footprint and holds phone securely.

Totally off topic Jay, but - is that a Rolls Royce Merlin in your avatar ?
That would be my S600. The oil pressure sensor failed and leaked oil through many of the electrical harnesses and the engine had to be opened up for the repair. That car is my daily driver / beater that I can take downtown and not worry about potholes and parking, she is about to hit 200K miles.

1) Yes, my car also was not a smoker car.
2) Yes, no more USB port. Not sure if you could use a splitter here.
I mount mine in my shirt pocket, sometimes on the passenger seat. I tend not to drive many miles and I know my town very well. The nav system on the car takes forever to enter streets and so it is a toss up sometimes between my droid phone and the car nav. Too bad the Porsche system does not have a voice input. Playing with the phone while driving is risky and I don't want to wreck my car or kill someone
