LCW Thanks for the link. Looks good in pics, similar to mine except that I stepped out on a limb and my interior is Black/Bordeaux...my present 2012 Carrera S is Dark Blue Metallic with Luxor and I am ready for something new.

My dealer has their launch event on Thursday and I was just told I can do my paperwork tomorrow and then pick up my car on Thursday or Friday! So close....

Will do, though the first pictures might still have some shipping film on it since I will be taking it elsewhere to get a protective film/coat put on. But I will try to get some pictures of the Bordeaux and Black interior that I got.

So you are not trusting the dealer to remove the protective shipping film?

Just curious about the statement. My car will be here in a couple of weeks and I am getting protective film applied elsewhere as well.

That was the suggestion from the shop I am using (and I've seen other people say that as well on this forum). The idea of driving off with some film still on it feels weird, but after waiting so long what's another 2 days waiting :-)

At least I will get to drive it!

I got the same recommendation. I won't be able to do that as I will take delivery at PEC, but if you are going in that direction why risk having the "valet" at the dealership mess it up? When I took delivery of my BMW last August the dealer did not even bother removing the glue residue from the hood...

vivekg, anxious to see your interior pics as that's the interior I chose...got my Euro Delivery folder yesterday complete with a copy of the Monroney window sticker, so it's official now, with a VIN# and everything!

I'd consider removing the film for inspection at the dealer. You never know what might be under there. Once you drive away its on you. You can tell them not to remove the adhesive and let your detailer do that part, but leaving the film on is a risk.

Where did you find the VIN in the packet? I didn't see it on my Monroney sticker.
