Nothing to worry about there - CBP etc is considered essential so in times of gov shutdown they still get to come to work. They will conduct business as usual... they just won’t get paid for it until it’s over.
Cyberbug - you really can't look at the expected schedule once it leaves the factory. It's all a huge swag on Porsche's part. Check the shipping schedules for the next boat heading your way and you will probably be on that. This was the case at least for me. It was way under the 3 weeks it said it would be in Emden.
My GTS is on the Euphrates Highway. Stopped in Halifax and next stop is Houston. ETA to port is 12/19. Marine Traffic shows it close to Florida now. Beating the schedule in the system from Porsche! Hopefully it wont sit long before it makes its way to Austin.
If the ship arrives in Benicia (Southern Hwy) on 1/11, how long does it take to clear customs and exit the port. Do the cars sit for a couple of weeks?
Woohoo. If the information digits posted turns out to be correct, my baby is likely to get to port in San Diego roughly 10 days earlier than originally scheduled. Here is to hoping!

No way to know. Last year, my Macan arrived in Benicia and was in Seattle 3 days later. Other people have had their cars sit for much longer (last summer some sat in port for months - but I think that was due to an emissions approval bureaucracy thing).
I'm excited now - I was just given the VIN for my inbound TTS and was informed it has exited production ahead of schedule. They'll tell me the name of the ship as soon as it makes it onboard, but from the schedule I posted above I'm not seeing many options scheduled to deliver to Benicia. I hope they don't drop it in Halifax or Jacksonville or even San Diego and truck it across the country. Is that a possibility?

Things are finally moving...
Now I just hope my all season tires come off backorder before the car arrives. Even though I'm in Seattle, I ordered my car through the dealer in Portland because they were the only ones able/willing to get a C2 allocation for the 991... So prefer not to drive it up to Seattle on summer tires.
San Diego port schedule update today!
Rhea Leader is now listed!
ETA 12-24-2018
Last port: Port Hueneme, Berth 24-5 Movement Inbound.
So RL will sail right past San Diego to go far North & dock @ Port H & unload cars & then go back south to SD port. If RL actually arrives SD 12-24 it will be 5 days later than originally estimated.
I think this is just to annoy me & further delay my car’s arrival.
