My 991.2 has been in Emden since the end of November and has a dealer ETA of 1/11/19. The ship that coincides with the aforementioned dates is the Viking Queen which is scheduled to depart Emden around the 27th of December with an arrival date of 1/9 in Davisville however, there’s two others scheduled to depart weeks earlier. Do vehicles often ship earlier on other vessels or are they more likely to follow schedule?

Yes, your car MAY get on a vessel that leaves earlier than the date on the Porsche tracking schedule for your car. For example, mine left Emden 3 days earlier and just arrived Jacksonville (USA entry port) 6 days earlier. But it's very hard to tell what will actually happen. One person posted on this site that he thought the dates on Porsche's tracking schedules are Fridays, indicating each event will happen during the week of that Friday, not necessarily on that Friday.

God bless,
TT

Jacksonville bound, Goodwood carried 911s are now at the port. The sea voyage part of their trip is now over--although not sure Goodwood is yet at her berth at the port. https://www.jaxport.com/cargo/logist...essel-schedule Hopefully our cars have been learning enough English since arrival at Davisville to be able to communicate with us when we pick them up over the next 10 days or so. ;-) Congratulations, everyone!

Sweet, SA says the car could be at the dealer next weekend. We shall see.

Yea it sounds in line with what other people have posted for time between port entry and dealer.

I now have a vin number

I am going to have the dealer mount all seasons before I pick it up in mid Feb, because it's a 3 hour drive home from Portland to Seattle (Seattle dealer couldn't get an allocation for a C2 this late)

I have a shop that usually does my ppf here in the Seattle/Bellevue area, but I am considering having the dealer apply it before I leave. Fingers crossed they do a good job (however they farm it out to)...

From MarineTraffic:

GOODWOOD changed the reported Destination
From: US JAX
To: US HOU
with ETA: 2018-12-13 02:00 UTC

GOODWOOD departed from
Port JACKSONVILLE
at 2018-12-08 20:25 Local Time (2018-12-09 01:25 UTC)
Time of Arrival/Departure is the time the Vessel approaches the entrance/exit of the Port respectively.

Our Jacksonville bound 911s have been unloaded. Houston bound 911s on the Goodwood are now on their way.

God bless,
TT

You can look up VIN# here:
https://vinanalytics.com

Verify that the car was built with all the options you ordered.

RE PPF, if you really like the quality of the work & the price charged by your local installer, you can use a temporary film (TracWrap by XPEL probably best) Or even, less expensive, Blue Painters tape, to protect it on the 3 hour drive to your installer.

Thanks, never occurred to me to look up my own car on vinanalytics, and I thought they could no longer pull new vins...

Here's my build:

and the pics from the configurator that I've looked at a million times

still hoping to catch an early vessel out of Emden rather than waiting 2 extra weeks for the Viking Queen.
