Here's a question - dollar for dollar the price for PSE vs Sport Tailpipes and Sport Chrono. Debating the merits of dropping PSE for these 2 options. I like the mode selector and individual settings... the clock on the dash and the rev matching are nice bonuses. What worries me for long term longevity is PADM.
I do care more for what the car sounds like inside vs outside.
Edit - seems from reading that the interior noise is about the same stock / PSE off. Many threads on this and lots of differing opinions.
A suggestion, consider the Carrera S with the Sport Package, it gives you PSE, Chrono, Sport Mirrors, leather GT Steering Wheel, RAS, for less than buying the items piecemeal, in fact, it's only about $1500 more compared to individually selecting the Chrono and PSE.
I pulled the pin on the Sport Package with my C4S due around the New Year. On the flip side, one thing to be aware of, there's always "one more item" that gets added on.

Been less than a month and it already feels like 6 months. While waiting and getting bored decided to visit the dealer to get another print out of the dates to see if any had changed and unfortunately no date change so another four months to go. While there took some cool pictures of a GT3 RS the new 2019 Cayenne and a 2018 Carrera T
Have read about the issues that European car makers are having with the new emission standards and they are affecting certain Porsche models. I'm aware that these are Euro spec vehicles, not US spec, but the US Cayennes seem to be affected.
I see that some of us have had their start dates pushed to a later time, about a month for me.
Could these revisions be a ripple effect from these emission standards as in taking away resources to reach European compliance?
Plus the fact that they are also gearing for 992 production?
Initially my lock date was set at 10/1/18, with delivery on 12/28/18.
When I went into the dealer to finalize some options (before the lock date), he noticed that Porsche had pushed the delivery date to 1/18/19. Now: V200 9/18, production starts 11/23.
One thing he mentioned is that Porsche builds in a 3 week period once the car reaches Emden, apparently it's a time to clear any snags that may arise. It also means that the ship may depart earlier if everything is on line.
Realistically, I expect my car towards the end of January due to Atlanta delivery for the Experience.
In a way it's a blessing because the initial delivery would have been during the holidays (though it would have been a nice Christmas gift).
Lots of 12/28 deliveries. I was given the same date, although the guys at the dealer think it may be a couple weeks before that. They said the key will be how long it waits to get on a ship. After that the time is pretty standard to Texas barring any storms. They said once its on the ship they will give me the name so I can track it. They mentioned they get so many requests that now they just send it to the clients when it happens.
I started with a Targa 4S order on July 27th and it was planned to be at the dealer on Jan 23rd but I changed it to a Targa GTS on Aug. 8th and it was expected to be at the dealer on 11/30; however, it moved to 11/23 and now it moved to 12/7. At least mine will arrive in the Port of Jacksonville and only has to get to Tampa. SA told me to not worry or get frustrated since he promised it would change again but also said it will probably be here a couple weeks early. I have really started to buy things for it and I will continue to whittle down the list over the next month, along with scheduling the window tint, PPF and Soul hi-flow cats. Each day I read the forums, actually several times a day, so the list is likely to grow, and soon since I am looking at the custom, refinished crests. I just got the stuff I need done to the Harley though so I can concentrate on the Targa full time.
