By the way, that garage is way too orderly. It needs more clutter!
Thanks, that's what basements are for, and yes there are basements in California.

Johne Deere most fun you can have going 7mph, Turbo S 205!

Anyone know the approx shipping time from Houston to Los Angeles?

My car made it to port yesterday, but came in through Texas this time (as opposed to CA with our Macan). It took about a week to make it to the dealer that time, but it was obviously a much shorter drive.

I'm sure there are a million factors that could influence delivery times, particularly with the holidays coming. I'm just curious to hear if anyone had a similar experience and what their wait times looked like for them?

Thanks all!

My understanding is that the boat should doc in Long Beach 12/23. Then its about a week or 2 to the dealer after inspection.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I'm not the only one closely monitoring the Adriatic Highway.

Didn't realize the ship would need to head back out to sea from Houston, around the Panama Canal and then into Long Beach. I assumed these ships were more point-to-point, as opposed to multiple destinations.

Bummer.

http://www.sea-distances.org/ says a craft going 15 knots from the port of Houston to the port of San Diego, covering 4411 nautical miles, should take 12 days -- not 4.

I'm dropping my SA an email to ask.

Thanks Planet... the 23rd seemed a little ambitious given the distance and the time needed to cross the canal.

Hello everyone,

Long time lurker, frequent question-asker and honored to be able to finally sign my name into this thread.
Today my dealer has submitted my order for a 2017 C2.
I'm a long time, faithful BMW driver, and was ready to spring for an M4....but they're kind of stuck before a facelift, production delays, and just a general lack of inventory and incentives.
Plus, all my car friends convinced me 911 is the real deal. Having driven the whole palette of 911's since then (all the way from C2 to Turbo S), I pretty much saw the light!
This has been a 6 month decision making process for me. Yes, I am paying a premium over BMW, but I am obsessed with cars and driving and ultimately I don't mind paying more for "transportation" than others.
Delivery ETA in March in PEC.....

Hi, and welcome. You do have good friends. BMW makes some fine automobiles,........but Porsche does it better.
