Since Michelin's seem to be unavailable, I am wondering what people are using on their S/GTS cars?

If Bridgestone's are available you might want to try those. All their prior Potenza's have been outstanding performers, great in the dry and even more impressive in the wet.

Yeah I used to have them on my 993 but I haven't used them in a long time ... its nuts that the Michelin's are not available in 911 fitments at the moment and do not look like they will be for some time!

PZero 305s with 5K miles on my C4S. Should I pre order MPSS 305s in hopes? Maybe two sets just in case? Would a 315 fit my Sport Techno wheels, if they even make an MPSS 315 x 20? Or would that upset things?

I put anew set of wheels on in February and wrapped them with new MPSS. I had to wait 2-3 weeks for rears (305's). That was it. How long are they saying the wait is now? Had the MPSS on my previous TT and loved them. Still love them now on the 4S. I prefer the road feel and handling over the Pzero's especially when wet.

I'm not sure if 315's would fit/clear ... but if you want MPSS you should definitely pre-order ...

I personally think the MPSS is the best ultra high perf tire out there at the moment, sadly Michelin's demand prediction and production capacity are
f**ked, according to my contacts in Michelin US the demand is through
the roof, and their production cannot cope ... so who knows when they
will become available...

apparently there are 16 sets incoming for the whole of the US in August sometime!

I have not been able to outdrive drive my PZeros. No trackwork here. No auto across here. And certainly no rain. I replace the rears is back in May after 15,000 miles.

Maybe next year I'll try the Michelin super sports.

I plan to switch to the MPSS when I burn through the fronts, but that's going to a while. My only complaint with the Pirellis is that they're noisy.

I've had good luck with the Bridgestone RE070. Went through three sets on a couple of NSX's. Pricing is usually very good (relatively speaking).

I hear if you strap them to a GT4 you can charge $10,000 extra. But haters will hate.

Except both of the Bridgestone tires shown above aren't rated high enough to match the Porsche specs of 102Y. For daily street driving you may never see any difference, but if you track the car or potentially have to do some serious crash avoidance at elevated highway speeds, those tires could fail with catastrophic results. To the best of my knowledge ONLY the Pzeros currently meet the 102Y rating.

I had no idea they were severely back ordered. I installed a set on my car last year on
new HRE wheels vs the stock wheels with nearly new PZeros and the difference was quite noticeable. The Michelins are less harsh over expansion joints and ride quieter.
