I saw a set of blue/ natural coco mats in a new sapphire blue / luxor beige 981 Boxster with the top opened and they looked great , surprisingly, prob because it is a 50s -style two seat roadster

red tach ( and or gauges ) : hard to read due to the red pointer(s) ...Porsche is too cheap to color contrast the red faces with the yellow pointers from the GT3

That interior looks awesome. You have nothing to worry about. Clean/condition the leather regularly and you'll be fine.

The black/ garnet interior is hot. I've not noticed any staining or any variance in color between the driver and passenger side seats. As others have said, it's not quite as bright as it looks in some pics; it's much more elegant and classy/ sporty.

Nice combo. Much better than the configurator.

Thanks, I agree with you that the configurator didn't accurately portray the interior colors (at least on any of my monitors). Then again, it didn't accurately portray what Agate looks like either. Made sure to see both the interior and exterior colors in the flesh at the dealer before placing my order.

Why not get black and spec deviating seat color in garnet? Do they also not allow that on the GTS?

No "Z" options, which I believe means no exclusive options outside of what you see in the configurator. But it's worth asking.

I know you don't even have the car yet, but since it appears that you are also ordering a manual transmission, I would like to have the first option to buy it, if and when you decide to sell it. I am serious.

BTW, what are the other options you are ordering on our... er, I mean... your car?

Can you get the seat backs done in black on a GTS? I recently saw some photos of a 991 with the black/garnet interior and it had black leather seat backs - the overall look was awesome. (Or does this two tone option come with black leather backs already?)

Seat backs on the 18ways are Silver plastic. I would assume if it's in leather, it would be red like the rest of the seat. Not sure what you saw. Maybe they painted the plastic piece?

I have a 991 Turbo on order with the black/garnet red interior. The red in real is much darker and not as bright as displayed on the 3D configurator. It looks quite classy I think!

In most cases involving the new 'Black/Garnet' two tone interior, 'Porsche Exclusive' would recommend that if you chose 'Sport Seats Plus Backrest Shells in Leather' (Exclusive Option XWK), they should be done in contrasting 'Black' leather. And that would also be my recommendation too!

The attached photos I took are of a 911 Turbo S, so the deviated stitching & deviating carpet in 'Black' was available & quite attractive!
