I drove this car at Porsche Orlando about 5 months ago. It had essentially the same ask at that time, and was eventually reduced to $84. They wouldn’t entertain reasonable offers. It’s priced too high, and it’s getting kicked around.
This is a great spec driver's car and I think they are pricing it against other cars of that year - which makes it arguably HFS by merit of price shopping solely on year and mileage.
Interesting that we all testify that it's the options that lose a drastic amount of value the fastest but we want the same discount % and $ on a car with no options. We're such hypocrites! haha.
New member here. Awesome forum! Looking for insight on a :
2014 4s Mahogany Metallic - 36,000 miles CPO priced at $77994
Price new $126,740 - Good options; PDK; Sport exhaust, SC.... WP0AB2A96ES121795
Car has been sitting for a few months; wondering if the color is the issue.
Thanks

I happen to love that color. The only downsides to me on this car are standard interior and mileage.

There is some merit to this. This S is fairly-low optioned in the Porsche World and thus one should expect less depreciation from MSRP.
However, this is also true:

It has been moved from Olmsted (and apparently to FL) before being sent to Boston. It is priced at the top-end of reasonable (IMO) and they show no signs of wanting to get rid of it.

Yup. There are no driver-aid nannies and nothing's power assisted in terms of options. It even has an old-school rear view mirror with the toggle.
This 911 seems to prove the rule that there's an 'a$$ for every seat.' And in this case, it's my wife's butt that fits the seat. She loves the all-manual spec. She hates Smurfs so kinda likes the Smurf blood-died leather. It ticks all of her boxes: Sport+ seats, heated, ventilated. No radio beyond the N.A. exhaust (don't start..). Manual. No sunroof.
It has a handful of Type 1 over-revs about 15h ago (which I will attribute to deichenb's test drive ) and no type 2 or higher over-revs. Two years of warranty left. I've looked at it on a lift: it's fine.

And I've been commanded to bring it home. Period.
LOL @ the radio.... I have the Bose and it is awful.
See if you can get them to CPO it and I think it's a solid deal.

This doesn't even have Bose. Or the CDR(?). It's whatever radio comes with it if you check no boxes at all.

Not gonna happen unless I pay for it.

Not one effin' bit. And, seriously, it has nothing to do with whether or not *I* like it. I would walk away from this because they are being obstinate and the build doesn't really speak to me. But, then I'd be in Dante's 9th circle until I found something very similar which is just not going to happen any time soon. In the grand scheme of things the $ left on the table are worth it to make the wife happy now. This is going to be her DD. (Yup: Snow tires. Nope: Not worried about her. She learned to drive on a dirt track.)
