Default Mislabeling GT Silver?

FYI: Platinum was replaced with Rhodium around mid cycle.

I'm finding in my searches quite a few cars mislabeled as GT Silver. They say GT Silver in the add but when you run a build sheet on it it comes up as platinum or rhodium.

Example: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...5715/overview/

Car comes up as rhodium silver on the build sheet. Seen a few like this.

Went to look at this car today and the dealership CEO had it out. Guess he didn't want to be driving Hondas around.

I suspect that is often why non luxury brand dealerships end up with porsches or even ferraris. I also think they then do a half assed job of trying to sell them because the owner or manager wants to keep driving them.

Yes, very common. Was even the case when I was shopping for my car three years ago. People just can't get their silvers straight!!

As far as the Carmine Red Aerokit Cup GTS goes, that's not a common car at all in that combo. VERY RARE color when paired with the the Aerokit Cup.

Is the aerokit Cup spoiler basically the ducktail with a vertical extension? Is the top piece removable so that it can be converted to a ducktail with minor body work; or is it an entirely different structure?

Red isn't my favorite color on porsches but I really like that carmine red car.

But any car could be fairly simply converted to duck or aerokit cup right? Imho description of "very rare" should be for things that can't easily be converted.

Two important things are coming quickly though- the return of all the leased 991.1 cars from 2014 (many of which get picked up in spring [post April- taxes] to early/mid summer), and the progression to the successor of the 991.2.

Then comes the colder months and the interest will die down, deals will come up and the cycle will rinse and repeat starting next April...

im personally not in the 991.1 market anymore, I picked up a M4 and have fallen in love with the turbo's and having an overhead camera while parking (guaranteed never to curb rash again!) but I really do enjoy my pre-bed night cap of checking the market here and over the internet. I should have been a market trader- instead I'm a "creative", oh well.

The big question will be if the 991.2 successor will be a hit after the obvious slump that I'm sure Porsche is factoring into development. If it's a hit, the greatest impact will be the used 991.2 market... they're obviously not going to go back to a NA engine, so we'll likely see an insulation with the 991.1 as the market eventually corrects for craziness like $500k R's and seriously inflated GT cars.

Think of it it this way, Porsche understands that every time someone buys one of those cars for a massive price over MARP- it's dollars they lost.

Any car could be converted, but GTS is itself rare, and they aren't making anymore 3.8L GTS. Yes you could add the Aerocup but it costs $6000 + shipping for the parts, plus painting and labor, so we're talking near $8000. So an AeroCup equipped GTS will continue to be quite rare.

The Aerokiit Cup spoiler is the exact same duck with a wing attached to the top. The wing unbolts, and there are approx two 1" mounting holes drilled through the duck.

Is that really a hot price for a BASE 911 that's almost 5 years old? The only option it seems to have is heated/ventilated seats.

Hot or not? You decide.

2013 S coupe
40k miles
MSRP- $126540
Ask- $69,991
45% off MSRP
$56k off MSRP

Awesome build sheet, car includes PCCB, PDCC w/SPASM, Sportdesign package (ducktail).
Exterior is agate grey.
Interior is Platinum Grey, which may/may not work for some.

Previous CPO car, my understanding is that the cpo warranty won't hold when sold by a non franchise dealer, although I've heard mixed stories on this, STG you might know more on this..

Sorry for the pic of my PC of the Autocheck, the dealer's website didn't have a link for me to click through.
