This sounds crazy but I like the carbon fiber fob. The weave is better than the trim weave.

Hmm. May need this on the Xmas list.

Oh gawd that is awful. Whoever was responsible for allowing Porsche to paint a car that color should be fired

Hope all is well with the family. Wish you well. There will be more cars.
Appreciate it bud, I know your thread will help me find another car in (hopefully) the near future. Have a happy thanksgiving!

I'm gonna hold my judgment on the Cognac, I feel like it might look different in person

How much of a red light is repainting ? Salesman said the hood and bumper were repainted. I love the color and it's pretty well equipped for $75k. He'd bought it at auction but was upfront about the painting. Said it had no damage.

Ruby Red C2S Coupe

Perhaps it's not worth the risk vs this CPO C2S Silver with PDCC and Sport Chrono

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Ben,

Paint job isn't the end of the world, if you knew who did it and if it was quality. Most likely, guys like this use shops that are cheap and will get it done "good enough" to make it look good. It might be a good paint job too. Who knows? The right way is to take off the bumper, all the trim and paint it that way. Most guys do it on the cheap and paint it on the car with just taping off the trim. Most likely it had tons of chips and they wanted to make it look presentable.

Regardless of the paint job:

Same miles on both cars, but platinum silver has CPO ($3K value), and I personally like the option pkg and color combo better. The CPO can save you big $$$ in warranty work. Price is fair too. Maybe can still get them down too. Start negotiating hard! This time of year, I'd start at $72K as a starting point.

Awesome thread, thanks for taking the time to do this STG991!

I'll be in the market for a C2S next fall and will be keeping an eye on this thread for sure.

Thanks for the education (and inspiration) this thread provides.

I am getting smarter everyday and now feel confident enough to graduate from my Bimmer to a 991 4S Cab as soon as I spot a winner!

Hey SAS (SAS software?), Looks like we are in the market for the same car! C4S Cab. There were a few good ones around a couple of months ago, but I was not ready then. Hoping to pull the trigger in the Spring now (or sooner if something good comes up).

STG mentions the the sweet spot for the best deals - 2 years old, ~15k miles.

Happy hunting.

I just saw this one - but I prefer a 1 owner CPO car from a Porsche dealer. C4S Cab, 2013, 12,500 miles, $92,995

Question for STG (or anyone else): The AutoCheck report says it was CPO'd a year ago when the 2nd owner picked it up. Does that mean the CPO is transferable like the original warranty?

Paul007, yes a CPO warranty stays with the car like the original warranty. In this case, nice that it has it. I'd confirm with a Porsche dealer's service dept. They can run the VIN to confirm and see when it expires. Nice way to find one.

Not sure why it says black leather on the build and showing red leather seats in the pics??

While I am not 100% certain, I am fairly certain that, contrary to what our resident Guru STG said, there is a very good chance the CPO warranty does NOT transfer with this particular car because it is being sold by a non-Porsche dealer and not an individual. I had understood that CPO warranties stay with the car if transferred between two individuals or between an individual then Porsche dealer then individual.

As STG suggests, best to confirm with a Porsche dealer and be sure to explain you would be buying from a non-P dealer.

Good luck and enjoy your ride!
