Still on the look out for the right manual C4 (or C4S or GTS4) cab. My problems are there are not many around and now I am picky with options #becauserennlist

So who can fire up the used car factory for a dark blue metallic/Night Blue metallic/PTS green awd cab with a manual trans with espresso natural leather and sport plus seats and autodim?

.1 or .2?

Fibbers gonna fib. From prices/depreciation to performance times and numbers. As I've mentioned to you before, you only come around rennlist once in a while to discuss 991.1 values and how crappy the 991.2 is.. Just waiting for the word "visceral" used to describe the 991.1.. I'm literally laughing out loud at you while typing this.

Knowing Porsche, the 992 will destroy them all. We will all complain about the new model "not adhering to the ethos of the 911" and after 3 years pass, we all shell out for the 992.

So it goes

Apologies for the trigger. Appears you had a visceral reaction.

Good news is reports seem to state that the 992 is even more engaging, and the 992 S is quoted to put about as much of a 0-60 improvement down as the 991.1-991.2 change (going by official Porsche numbers). It’s also noted that Porsche improved the 9A2 sound, but I’m skeptical as to whether said improvement is also heard outside of the car, or if it’s just some interior trickery. Time will tell.

Rule of thumb I’ve noticed with 911 generations is they get the new base model like clockwork to match acceleration of the outgoing S/GTS. The .1 base was putting up better 0-60 and 1/4 numbers than the 997.2 GTS in specific magazines, and the 991.2 base is nearly identical to the 991.1 S in average compiled acceleration figures, and I predict the 992 will do the same.

Do you guys have any cars for sale to post??

This ISN'T a debate thread. It's about 991.1 and 991.2 cars FOR SALE and educating buyers. Have something to offer, please do. If not, please take it to the other areas of the forum.

There are many other parts of the forum to debate which cars or exhausts are best.

Thanks

Go debate it on the 992 forum there. Lots of discussion going on over there.

Last few pages all I read about is useless chatter and nothing about any car finds.

I posted this one last week, but it looks like they dropped the price. I know this car (or rather the previous owner); it had a PDK replaced under warranty due to a driveshaft seal (the PDK can't be worked on), and was all dealer maintained. Mileage is a little high, but the build doesn't suck. The dealer is top-notch as well (they got lots of plugs over on the 997 forum in that thread about RAC sucking; several people said "go to Dallas Motorsports instead!".

Nice bill and price. Any way to find out maintenance records? That’s literally the car I’m looking for except the wheel design and wheel color

For some pricing info on my purchase...

2013 991S Agate Grey on Black, 6200 miles... I purchased at CarMax for $69k and then added sport steering wheel and PSE. The 60mo bumper to bumper warranty with a $50 deductible was an additional $3k. I have purchased many cars from CarMax and have never had a single issue with warranty claims. I purchased a 2003 MB AMG C32 from them and they paid almost $10k in repairs without question.

Nice job, congrats. Have only heard great things about the CarMax warranty. Pics??

Was it local to you, or did you have it transferred??

Thanks for the post.

It was in Maryland and I had it transferred for $150. It took 4 days to get to Atl. I had the holes filled and painted for the front plate. The guy I know took off the bumper and used fiberglass backing to be sure the holes don't reappear. He only charged me $300 and it is flawless.

Sweet. Nice job fixing the front bumper.

No way you'd get a deal like that locally I'm sure and super nice with the low miles. What a great buy. Thanks for sharing your story.

A manual with SC and SPASM!

Default 2015 4S. 22k. Asking 82k. MT

Hi all,

2015 4S. 22k. Asking 82k. MT.
It is NOT being sold by a Porsche dealer. So no CPO. Is this worth going to see? Car looks clean in photos.

I know it was serviced exclusively at Porsche Austin, so probably not tough to get records. Who knows; they might be with the car. One of the main guys is Carl; he is a really good guy and can help you. A couple of friends have had him find cars and sell cars for them and think the world of him. I would call him and find out.
